Ngapali beach in Rakhine State is a short 45-minute flight from Yangon (RGN) to Thandwe (SNW). Ngapali has a lot of hotel options for all budgets. The Hilton Resort & Spa is one of the newer hotels, just a short drive from the airport. The rooms are modern, well-appointed and spacious. Some of the rooms even include private pools!! The resort restaurant food is reasonably priced and delicious! And the LARGE infinity pool is SPECTACULAR!! You could easily spend your entire vacation around the pool. Ngapali’s main beach area (seen in the video) is just a short 15-minute taxi ride from the Hilton Resort & Spa.

We were so happy to come to Ngapali beach in Myanmar. It directly became the most beautiful beach we saw so far in Asia. There are 3 beaches in Ngapali. This one is the one in the middle of them. There is absolutely nobody and no resorts. We loved this place so much! We hope you will too.

Ngapali Beach is located 7 kilometres (4 mi) from Thandwe (Sandoway) in Rakhine State, Myanmar. It's the most famous beach in Myanmar and a popular tourist destination.
But increasing tourism and the construction of hotels will change the beach and the lives of fishermen and villagers.

We recently took a trip to Ngapali beach, Myanmar. I honestly didn’t know what to expect. We never planned to visit Myanmar, this was actually a last minute trip. But, this trip showed us that places you never expect to visit can be the most amazing adventures! We stayed at the River Top Lodge. The food was very inexpensive and delicious, the staff was so friendly and they booked us wonderful snorkeling trips.

Non siamo molto amanti dei resort ma questo è stato un viaggio unico. Ci siamo rilassati per tre giorni nello splendido Pristine Mermaid Resort di Ngapali Beach e ci siamo viziati un pò. La spiaggia è immensa ed è tutta per voi quindi, se cercate relax, non pensateci due volte!
Il nostro animo avventuriero, il secondo giorno, si è fatto sentire. Abbiamo preso delle biciclette ed esplorato i dintorni. Il primo impatto con la vita quotidiana della popolazione locale è stato incredibile. Abbiamo fatto un’escursione in un tuk tuk che ci ha portati ad una pagoda in collina, ad un laboratorio di tessitura e infine al mercato della città di Thandwe, dove abbiamo scoperto il Thanaka e il Longyi.

NGAPALI BEACH - Hidden Paradise in Myanmar
NGAPALI BEACH is definitely one of our favorite beaches in south-east asia. The beaches are almost empty and the tourism hasn`t really reached this beautiful place yet. The water is crystal clear and the temperature feels like a bath. You should definitely also do the snorkel-trip with one of the traditional fishermen-boats for around 17€ per boat.
Ngapali Beach is just a nice place to chill out and relax!

I recently got the incredible opportunity to fly over to Yangon, Myanmar and play the lead female role in a music video. Whilst there we decided to use the opportunity to have a few days holiday in Ngapali Beach, a mere hour flight away. Here is some footage from our adventure to the elephant camp which was quite the adventures, involving a van, boat ride, elephant trek through the jungle and finishing off by bathing with elephants.
