Dampier, Karratha, Cossack, Port Samson, Roebourne & Onslow
Days 64 to 72 saw us visit Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Dampier, Karratha, Cossack, Wickham, Port Samson and Roebourne. Mudda had an opportunity to not only visit the birthplace and area were Red Dog lived and died but also to learn more about him and see a lot of memorabilia.
It was a great detour back up north for a few days whilst we awaited the arrival of our special guests!

Millstream Chichester National Park - E47
OLT Official Merchandise!
Welcome back to another week with us!
This week we have a slight hiccup with the canopy not opening but soon after are back on the road and head for Millstream Chichester national park.
We drive the Rio Tinto Railway Access Road as this is the most direct route from Tom Price to the park. In order to get this permit you need to watch a 20 minute video at the Tom Price info centre.
After having a few issues trying to find a suitable camp we decided to keep driving with stop at Python Pool. From here we continue down a 4x4 track to George's River and set up camp for the next few days

Electric Images Australia's Fortescue River Adventure. ***WATCH IN HD!!!***
Join Gavin and Lindsay on an epic adventure to the beautiful Fortescue River in the Pilbara. Filmed over 2 nights we camped on the edge of a cliff overlooking an amazing Pilbara landscape and then travelled down into Gregory's Gorge for a dip in the cool water.
Original music written and performed by Gavin Canning with a guest appearance from Linda Moroney on violin. I hope you can relate to the lyrics and enjoy this country style tune i wrote.
The trip was filmed on DJI Phantom 4 Pro's and a Canon 6D.

Ngarluma (Traditional Version) Welcome to Country
IMPORTANT: The following video has been compiled for educational purposes only. This video must not be used as a substitute for an official, in-person, welcome to country in any situation or context whatsoever.
The Ngarluma people are the original inhabitants of the coastal areas around Roebourne (West Pilbara Western Australia). Archaeological surveys reveal that continuous occupation & ancestry stretches back more than 30,000 years, and important cultural sites such as the rock art on the Burrup Peninsula (Karratha) show a deep historical and spiritual connection to the land, waterways and rivers and the sea.
