Japan Meme Event - Nico Nico Chokaigi 2019
We visited the Nico Nico Chokaigi 2019 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, close to Tokyo. This event is one of Japans biggest convention featuring cosplay, anime, manga, games, idols, Virtual Youtubers, Cultural Exhibitions and lots and lots of Japanese MEMES!

The Niconico Chokaigi festival in Makuhari Messe Convention Center on April 29, 2016, Chiba, Japan. Niconico, a largest social video website in Japan with over 53 million registered users, organized a 2 day long festival called Niconico Chokaigi which offers users and exhibitors to communicate face-to-face. Since it was first held in 2012, the number of attendants has been on a steady rise, partly owing to popular guests. japan trip april 29-30 (MOSTLY NICONICO CHOKAIGI 2016)

There is only one kimoi in the whole thing.
Watch me be an Osomatsu-fag and pretty much enjoy all that Japanese internet had to offer.
Day 1 (4.29) - Arrive in Narita. Shop in Oedo's Korea Town and Shibuya's 108 tower/see Hachiko
Day 2 (4.30) - Go to NicoNico Chokaigi in Chiba (get lost trying to take a bus to the convention center) Shop in Harajuku's Takeshita street in the evening
Day 3 (5.1) - Go to Osaka to walk their open air market/foodie outing. Tried visiting the restaurant recommended in my parent's travel show. Visited Osaka castle.
Day 4 (5.2) - Stayed in Osaka hostel so could make the 11:32 special 500-Type Evangelion series train that only runs once a day. Arrived in Hakata station (Fukuoka) to see the Pokemon center and Type-500 Eva cafe + store. Took a regular shinkansen back to Osaka for another hostel stay (would miss the last train trying to get back to Narita)
Day 5 (5.3) - Tried to meet up with friends at Comic City 25 at Tokyo Big Sight, but was too late (and salty about it 4ever). Tried to meet them at the Odaiba Giant Gundam statue instead. Failed again. Bought a ton of gundam goods.
Day 6 (5.4) - Weebed out in Ikebukuro's J-WORLD Tokyo and Otome Road. Played a lot of Shounen JUMP-based carnival games and ate in the One Piece themed Sanji's Restaurant. Also went in Namja Town on the lower floor for the SB69 collab with the theme park. Bought like 5 pounds of doujin in Otome Road to lug around for the rest of the shopping day.
Day 7 (5.5) - Akihabara. Tried to buy a figure of my younger brother's waifus (any of them per his request). Spent whole day in mulitple new-and-second-hand figure stores. Failed. His waifus don't exist LOL.
Day 8 (5.6) - Decided there was a bit of time before flight back. Went back to Ikebukuro and visited not just one, but TWO cat cafes. Ended up paying late fees on hotel for staying over check out time. Then barely made our flight back (literally checked in during BOARDING TIME).

Nico Nico Chokaigi is the event that includes almost all genres such as anime, cosplay, music, dance, Kabuki, politics, etc.
