I lived and worked in China for 9 months in 2009. I was based in the city of Yuxi, located in south-west China, working as a team teacher/tutor for Yunnan Institute of Development. My main job was training young people to work as volunteers in several developmental projects run by the Institute. Besides this, I did lots of other extra work, such as teaching English, running an art club, organizing volunteers camps, and doing marketing and PR works.
Upon leaving my Yuxi life I was gifted with this video by my students, a beautiful memory forever.
2009 januárjától szeptemberig éltem és dolgoztam a dél-nyugat Kínában lévő Yuxi városában. Az ott található Yunnan Institute of Development 6 hónapos önkéntes projektjének voltam az egyik tanára/mentora: Ázsiából érkező fiatalokat képeztünk ki különböző humanitárius feladatok többniyre az oktatás és az egészségügy területén. Emellett még rengeteg más dolgot is csináltam: angolt tanítottam, kézműves klubot vezettem, önkéntes táborokat szerveztem, marketing és PR területen segítettem.
Ezt a videót búcsúajándékként kaptam az ottani tanítványaimtól.

Dragon-shaped ceramic lantern on display in Yuxi
Some 110 lanterns were on display in Yuxi, a city in southwest China's Yunnan Province, over the weekend to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival. The show featured a 100-meter-long and six-meter-high ceramic lantern in the shape of a dragon.
