Nighoj Potholes & Malganga Temple, MAHARASTRA
Around 90 kms from Pune, is a small town named Nighoj where you can find Asia's largest natural potholes. The potholes are indeed a geological wonder. The river kukadi flows near Malganga temple , the river forms a deep canyon which has resulted in huge pothole like structures carved in the rockbeds because of the natural erosive action of the water and the rocks carried by the river.

Nighoj Potholes - A walk in the sky
Fierce water volume pulled by nothing but gravity has carved these marvelous potholes in the bed of river Kukadi.
For hundreds of years tremendous water flow has chopped out these big black rocks into smooth and beautiful holes. Water flow is limited by dam today, but one can see a canyon in birth here. Potholes of village Nighoj are 90 kilometers from Pune this place is good half day trip.
Feel free to ask any queries you may have regarding this place.
