Surfing at Nijo Parking in Fukuoka, Japan - New iPad Camera
Filmed some early spring surfing at Nijo Parking Beach in Fukuoka, Japan. It was a little overcast so I didn't get the full brightness. Also, it was in a case which recesses the camera a couple centimeters. The quality is still amazing though!

Sekinoyama short hike | Hiking in Japan (Fukuoka)
Hiking in Fukuoka, Japan! I climbed Sekinoyama (関の山) to see if it would be a good mountain to take my 8 year old son. It is! Well, the course I took on the way up is. The trail is clear and easy to follow. The course on the way down was a little more tricky and I wouldn’t recommend it for kids. It’s steep and slippery in places and easy to take take a wrong turn. When I come with my son next time, I’ll come down the same way I went up.

Crabs Taking Over
Here is a quick video of real hermit crabs in the wild. There were hundreds of them at one of my local beaches here in Japan. This was taken at Nijo Parking Area in Itoshima, Japan. I walked all the way to the left near toward the end of the beach where the rocks are.

Finding FALL at Mt. Kuju! | Hiking in Japan (Oita)
I went to Kuju to check out some autumn leaves! Mt. Kuju is one of the 100 famous mountains of Japan (hyakumeizan). Next time I'd like to take a tent any stay a night.

Itoshima Japan Tourism. Itoshima (糸島市 Itoshima-shi?) is a city located in western Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
As of June 30, 2011, the city has an estimated population of 100,304, with 37,132 households and a population density of 464.11 persons per km². The total area is 216.12 km².
The modern city of Itoshima was established on January 1, 2010, from the merger of the city of Maebaru and the towns of Shima and Nijo (both from Itoshima district).

Last weekend a typhoon blew through southern Japan bringing with it the usual heavy rain and winds. Come Monday though and all that was left was blue sky and a decent set of waves coming in on the north coast of Kyushu.
