Warroora Station on Ningaloo Reef, WA - camping in paradise!
???????? WARROORA STATION, WESTERN AUSTRALIA ????????
We spent two and a half weeks at Warroora Station (pronounced Warra), situated on the Ningaloo Reef. It was awesome! ???? We had 11 nights at 14 Mile Beach, followed by 6 nights at Steven's Camp.
????A week on a beachfront campsite here will only set you back $50 per adult???? Or if you are here for a shorter stay, it's $10 pp/pn.
ℹHere is some info on the station, for those who want to know more:
???????? There are no toilet facilities. You must bring your own chemical toilet or you can hire one at the Homestead or 14 Mile Campsite for $10 per day/$50 per week. There is a dump point at the rubbish tip about 5 mins drive from 14 Mile. There is also one down the Southern end of the station.
???? The rubbish tip is well organised and also collects cans for RFDS
???? Bring in all of your own wood for fires or purchase some from the caretakers/homestead. Campfires allowed May through October.
✅???? Pet friendly, but there is 1080 on the property
✖ There is no drinking/bore water available at 14 Mile so you must bring in everything that you need. There is limited potable water and artesian water showers available for a small fee at the Homestead. They also sell cold drinks and ice creams ????????
???? Coral Bay is only a 20 minute drive away (from 14 Mile). Although expensive, there is lots available there to stock up on - fuel, groceries, bakery, cafes etc. We suggest stocking up before heading to the area.
???? At this time of the year it's pretty windy! Some days have been good, others have been crazy windy. There is camping available behind the dunes, which is a little more protected. We ended up moving from 14 Mile to Steven's to escape the wind a bit!
???? There are multiple beaches to explore along the station, with crystal clear water and snorkelling at most spots.
???????? The boys caught plenty of fish straight in front of the camps at 14 Mile and Steven's ???? Threadfin salmon, tailor, golden trevally and dart. There were also heaps of sharks sneaking around eating their bait.
Overall, it was an awesome stay at Warroora. If you can't already tell by the multiple pictures we've posted, we LOVED it ???? Make sure that you don't just stay at 14 Mile and go explore the rest of the station, even if only on a day trip - so many hidden treasures waiting to be discovered!

Our van life dream Australia -
We are an Australian couple, living and working full-time from our self-built camper van as we travel the country. We have one goal and that is to be present and aware of the now and to live in the moment.
We've endeavoured to remove anything stress inducing from our lives, so we travel with minimal possessions, we eat simple, healthy food and we work for ourselves at our own pace. Living in a van just goes hand-in-hand with our lifestyle.
We usually spend our days parked up at the beach, working and surfing. We have a lot of people approach us, who are curious about our van and our lifestyle, so we have decided to document how we live and why we do it, hence the YouTube channel!
We really hope that you enjoy this insight into our lives.

Covermore Ultimate Traveller Video Competition - Entry
Hey Everyone!
My name is Ella. I'm a 26 year old nursing student and I live in a small town called Dongara in Western Australia. Just to give you an idea of where that is - it's a 4 hour drive North of Perth, situated on the coast. I've been making home videos of my travel adventures for the past 4 years - mostly as a way to look back on the good times and to share the experiences with our friends and family who live on the East coast.
I actually entered the Covermore Ultimate Traveller competition a few years ago and made it to the top 6. Now I'm back again to give it another red hot crack!
In this latest adventure, Sam and I took two weeks off work/study to travel North and explore the beautiful Mid West coast. We experienced a lot of great places over the two week period, but one of our favourites was braving the icy cold water to snorkel in the famous Ningaloo Reef. An experience I highly recommend for all you Ultimate Travellers out there!
I hope you enjoy!
And just a quick side note - please, if you have a spare minute, head on over to the Covermore Ultimate Traveller Website and give our video a star rating. If you loved or hated it, we want to know.
Cheers!
Surfing at Gnaraloo on the ningaloo reef
There are world class waves along Gnaraloo's section of the Ningaloo roof on the west coast. The majority of surf here is for experienced surfers only; but, when the surf gets calmer beginners can attempt a go.
Out here, it's important that you know your limits. The waves and reef are rough on those who don't respect it. We have had minor scrapes, to broken bones and even deaths here. The closest medical assistance is in Carnarvon, so be aware while you're out there.

Ningaloo Reef - Western Australia
Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia has gained an impressive reputation as one of Earth's last ocean paradises. Take a dive with hundreds of tropical fish, colourful coral and the world's biggest fish, the whale shark.
It's one of the largest fringing reefs in the world and unlike many others, you can get to it just by stepping off the beach.

Super Pod of Dolphins at Ningaloo Reef | Coral Bay - Western Australia
We went out for a snorkle trip to the Ningaloo Reef.
On the way out to the reef we met this super pod of dolphins. Our skipper and marine biologist didn't approach them intentionally. They were just in our way. So he cut the engine and we had time to film.
Hard to tell how many there were in total, but at least 50plus of these magnificent creatures. Just an amazing experience.
