Man attacked by tiger at zoo in Ningbo, East China
A man, who was attacked by a tiger in Yageer Zoo in the city of Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province, has been confirmed dead. Witnesses at the scene have said that the man, who has not been identified, had approached the tiger at a close distance before being dragged into the beast’s enclosure. Zoo workers tried to distract the tiger with firecrackers and water guns. Local media reported that the tiger was shot dead afterwards. The man was initially hospitalized for injuries suffered during the incident, but was pronounced dead hours later.

A court in Beijing Tuesday began a long-awaited hearing into whether Beijing Badaling Wildlife Park was responsible for a tiger attack that injured a woman surnamed Zhao and killed her mother. On November 15, 2016, Zhao and her father sued the park, and asked for 1.55 million yuan in compensation. However, the park said it had fulfilled its obligations of warning visitors, acting immediately during the accident and paying for the initial medical and accommodation fees on humanitarian grounds. The verdict will be announced at a later date. Chinese netizens reacted with a combination of shock and outrage. Who is to blame? The park or the victims?

A man has died in hospital after being attacked by a tiger at a zoo in the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo on Sunday afternoon. There is a river that separates the tiger enclosure and visitors. It's unknown why and how the man crossed the river and entered the enclosure. The tiger was finally shot dead by the police.

A woman got out of a car while traveling in the Badaling Wildlife Zoo in the suburbs of Beijing on Saturday.
She was then dragged away by a tiger. Her husband and mother-in-law then rushed out of the car to rescue her.
Zookeepers say the elderly woman was then mauled to death by another tiger, while the younger woman was severely injured.
Tourists are forbidden by the zoo to get out of cars within the park.
Reports say the woman made the irrational move after quarrelling with her husband.

The family of a man mauled by a tiger at a zoo in eastern China has accused the management of negligence for not sufficiently securing the premises and the animals’ enclosure where he was attacked, according to an interview on news portal Sina video.
Last Sunday’s tragedy occurred when the 40-year old man, surnamed Zhang, climbed over two three-metre walls and a wire fence into the tiger enclosure to avoid paying the 130 yuan entrance fee at the Ningbo Youngor Zoo in Zhejiang province, according to the zoo’s management.
Although it is not known for sure, Zhang was probably unaware that he had climbed into the tigers’ enclosure. He was accompanied by another man, named Li, who also climbed the walls but did not follow him into the tiger’s area.
Security footage showed at least three tigers approaching a man in a blue jacket and black trousers in the enclosure that was separated from zoo visitors by a moat a high stone wall.
The man was seen resisting and kicking one tiger which had its jaws around his neck and head, and did not let go even after zoo staff set off firecrackers to try and scare it away. .

Visitor mauled to death by tiger in Ningbo zoo in China
A man was mauled to death by tigers in front of his wife and kids at a zoo in Ningbo on Sunday after allegedly climbing into their enclosure by mistake while trying to avoid paying for an entrance ticket.
The man surnamed Zhang was visiting the zoo with his wife, kids, his coworker surnamed Li and Li's wife. Li told CCTV News yesterday that while the women and children bought tickets and entered the zoo normally, both the men decided to try their luck scaling the zoo's 3-meter-tall outer wall, despite warnings and wire netting.
Once over, Zhang continued on, scaling the next 3-meter wall in their path, unassumingly hopping down inside the tiger enclosure. Li did not follow his friend.
What happened next was horrifying caught on video. Footage circulating online show a pack of tigers surrounding Zhang before staff used fireworks and water guns to scare them away. However, one tiger remained unperturbed and continued to drag Zhang away. Eventually, workers shot and killed the tiger and carried Zhang out of the enclosure. In total, the rescue took over an hour.

tiger-mauling death at a Chinese zoo is under investigation by local authorities who say the victim climbed a fence into the tiger's enclosure.
The attack occurred Saturday at a resort on Dongqian Lake in eastern China's Zhejiang province. A local government statement says the victim, identified only by his surname of Zhang, climbed a fence with a friend instead of buying tickets. The statement said Zhang's wife and two children, as well as his friend's wife, bought tickets to enter the zoo.
