Nyumashiwa is the second largest city on the Comorian island of Mohéli, after Fomboni, the capital. It is located in the southern part of the island; it is known because of the islets which are in front of the city and which are called the islets of Nyumashiwa. There are eight of them. Some of them have the most beautiful white sand beaches on the island.

Mohéli Island Paradise (Comoros Vlog #2)

In September I spent 10 days exploring the Comoros, starting with the main island of Grande Comore and then heading to Moheli.

I spent four days on Moheli at Laka Lodge in Nioumachoua. Here I went swimming, snorkeling, swam with humpback whales, and looked for sea turtles in Itsamia.

Association Ecologique et Educative de Nioumachoi (AEEN) NIOUMACHOUA.mov

Il est créé en l'an 2009, le 27 octobre une association écologique et éducative a but non lucratif dénommé « Association Ecologique et Educative de Nioumachoi(AEEN) » régi par les lois en vigueur aux Comores.
L'association écologique et éducative de Nioumachoi a pour objectif principal de conserver et de protéger l'environnement et d'améliorer les activités pour qu'elles soient non seulement durables et rentables mais aussi de contribuer à l'éducation et à la protection du patrimoine naturelle du village.
Les objectifs spécifiques de l'association écologique et éducative de Nioumachoi sont les suivants :
Lutte contre la pollution des eaux douces et marines du village.
Contribuer à la conservation et à la protection de la faune et de la flore.
Contribuer à l'hygiène et à l'aménagement du territoire du village.
Initiation à l'informatique pour la promotion du genre et aux handicapés.
Encadrement des jeunes scolarisés et non scolarisés
Appui à la création des activités génératrices des revenus aux plus démunie .
