8 Things to Do at Taketomi Island, Okinawa, Japan (Ishigaki Part 2)
Taketomi Island (one of the Yaeyama Islands) is only 10 minutes away from Ishigaki and only cost 600 yen each way by boat. You can easily bike the whole island or walk (if you have time). We decided to walk which is very possible as Taketomi Island is actually very small!
Visiting Nishi Pier and swimming at Kondoi Beach is a MUST! I had an amazing time walking and swimming through the emerald green water! Kondoi Beach is now one of my favorite beaches in Okinawa and I hope it will soon be yours too!

Iriomote & Taketomi - Okinawa | Ep. 056 | OurLifeInJapan
To avoid the colder temperatures in Tokyo, we went to Okinawa for a long weekend. We stayed at one of the most southern islands of Okinawa: Iriomote Island. The weather was perfect to do a lot of fun activities: kayaking on the Nakama river through the largest mangrove forest of Japan, chilling on wasure ishi beach, and cycling around the famous Taketomi Island. On Taketomi we watched the authentic ox-cars full of tourists slowly walking by, and visited all the beaches: Nishi ambashi (West Pier), Kondoi Beach, and Kaiji Beach (Star sand beach). We witnessed beautiful beach sunsets near our hotel, and the bluest water in Okinawa at Kabira Bay... Such an amazing trip! We highly recommend it!
Tsukishima - Tokyo - 月島 - 4K Ultra HD
Back in 2015, we published a video of one of Tokyo's latest traditional fishing pier/villages: Tsukudajima. Today we decided to shoot another video of the area and more precisely about Tsukishima itself, the island made from reclaimed land (1892) which Tsukudajima now belongs to.
Surrounded by the Kanda River, Tsukishima gives you a unique perspective of what an old suburb of Tokyo feels like. But, unlike other Tokyo suburbs, Tsukishima is famous for its Monjayaki which happen to be your average Okonomiyaki with added dashi (base ingredient of Japanese Miso soup) in its batter.
Tsukishima gives you the possibility to get a unique view of Tsukiji market pier, which is just on the other side of the river.
