Nishio Japan Tourism. Nishio (西尾市 Nishio-shi?) is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, in the Chūbu region of Japan. It is a regional commercial and manufacturing center and the country's leading producer of powdered green tea.
As of May 2015, the city had an estimated population of 166,278 of which some 5,800 are foreign residents. The total area was 160.22 square kilometres (61.86 sq mi) and the population density is 1,030 persons per km².

I spent four months in Japan on my Gap year with three other guys from England. We worked at the Nishio Roken Healthcare Corporation as volunteers, and also at a Kindergarten.
We spent our time doing various things, but mostly getting drunk, going to kareoke, and being continually confused by how Japanese and wierd everything was.

?From large to small scale, various contemporary art pieces and architecture are located in various places on the island. Sakushima Island of Nishio -city, Aichi Pref. Where has issues of aging and depopulation, launched art project in 2001. Visitors can walk through the art pieces to know and learn the history, nature and islanders day to day lives.

Linda Nishio (b. 1952) grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of Kansas and Rutgers University, where she developed a multimedia art practice that involved photography, video and film, bookmaking and live performance. Her work centers around the definition and redefinition of self—exploring the ways that we see ourselves, the psychology of that vision, and the way that others see us. The work displayed in this exhibition focuses on several moments of her creative production shortly after her return to Los Angeles in the late 1970s.
