YOKOHAMA, Japan: Nissan Stadium, Ramen Museum, Cup Noodles Museum | Vlog 5
Yokohama, Japan is well known for soccer (or football ????) and ramen. In this video, you see the most famous attractions in both fields. In Shin-Yokohama, we visit the Nissan Stadium (also known as Yokohama Stadium), and the Ramen Museum, where you can try some of the best ramen bowls you'll ever have. Food in Japan is always delicious!
The Nissan Stadium is famous for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final and is often used for major events in Japan. In 2020, it will also host Olympic soccer matches. Now that the Rugby World Cup is over, stadium visits have resumed.
From the Ramen Museum, we went to the Cup Noodles Museum, back in Minato Mirai 21, where you can learn about Momofuku Ando, the creator of instant ramen noodles, the history of instant ramen and cupnoodles. We closed the day visiting the mall across the street, World Porters, and enjoying the view from the Ferris wheel at Cosmo World.
Yokohama is perfect for a Tokyo day trip, but my advice? Stay longer ????

Family Fun Day in Yokohama Japan with Kids - Cup Noodles Museum, Cosmo Ferris Wheel, KiddOKidd 2019
My husband was working all day, so it was just me, my 2 toddlers and our stroller in Yokohama.

My kids had a blast and here is our easy and walkable 3 hour itinerary in 2019 that our kids will remember forever...especially since I made this video for them :)
Luckily we visit Yokohama Japan every year. It is a fun filled city with great family friendly activities! Yokohama is one of our favorite places to visit and our children LOVE this city.
What to do in Yokohama with Kids? Here's our Family fun Itinerary for kids:
1. 10:30am - CupNoodles (Cup O' Noodles) Museum & Factory. Fun educational interactive activities that your kids will love. Don't forgot to book you MyCupNoodles Factory reservation when you arrive and you get to make your very own custom CupNoodles ramen to eat later. Entrance fee is 500yen ($4.50) for adults. My 4 & 2 year olds were free. MyCupNoodles factory fee is 300 yen each ($2.50) and only allowed 1 per person. (They open at 10am, so if you are able to go at opening, that is best as is gets REALLY busy.)
2. 12:00pm - Yokohama Cosmo Clock FerrisWheel. 15 minute Ferris Wheel ride with beautiful views of Yokohama and Carnival games & arcade below. Great on a nice day and amazing if you ride it at night when it lights up at night.
3. 12:30pm - MARK IS shopping building. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the Yokohama ferris wheel. The 3rd floor is the KIDS floor which has great kids clothes to browse and shop. There you will find Kidd-O-Kidd Bornelund indoor playroom. And also there is a huge Toys R Us / Babies R Us on that level! YES...Toys R Us is still open in JAPAN!!!
4. On another day, we visited the 5th floor of the MARK IS which is SEGA ORBI! This place is great for kids with animal interactive & fun educational activities. This is at least a 2 -3 hour activity with a lot of waiting in lines, so go early. Even weekdays are busy.

For all activities in Japan, It's best to do on a weekday (if possible) as Yokohama attractions get very crowded.

Hot Japan: Today's Sketch: Waterfront of Yamashita Park, Yokohama (near Tokyo)
The first seaside park in Japan located right in front of Yokohama Port, stretching almost 700 meters from the east side of Osanbashi to Yamashita Pier. It was opened in 1930 by land filling with the rubbles from the Great Kanto Earthquake. The park includes a grass field, a rose garden, the Little Girl With Red Shoes On statue, the Guardian of Water statue which is a gift from San Diego, a sister city of Yokohama, and the Kamome no Suihei-san (Seagull Sailor) song monument, water stairs and a stage. The former cargo and passenger ship Hikawamaru is anchored here.

Nissan e-POWER technology explained
The Nissan e-POWER has been a hit with consumers in Japan, where it's helped make the Nissan Note the country's best-selling registered car. Combining 100% electric motor drive with a gasoline engine that charges the battery, e-POWER cars give customers instant, smooth acceleration and excellent fuel efficiency.
The e-POWER system includes a gasoline engine with a power generator, an inverter, a battery and an electric motor. Used solely to charge the high-output battery, the gasoline engine always runs at an optimal speed. This leads to superior fuel efficiency and lower emissions compared with a traditional internal combustion engine.
Currently, e-POWER is available in the Note and Serena models in Japan. More than 70% of Note sales and almost half of Serena sales in the country are e-POWER versions.
At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Nissan announced that it plans to debut the e-POWER technology in European markets by 2022.
The e-POWER system is a key part of Nissan’s electrification strategy. Nissan plans to launch more e-POWER models globally as part of its Nissan Intelligent Mobility vision for changing how cars are powered, driven and integrated into society.
