A Walk in Nisshin

One Saturday evening when the weather was perfect, we decided to take a walk around Nisshin (the city where we live). I hope this gives you a vague sense of what it looks like here.

I Found The Real Life Ghibli Town in Japan｜Nukumori no Mori｜Culture with 火

It felt like we walked into a real Ghibli movie looking at all this buildings and cafes. This secluded wooded area boasts uniquely designed buildings that sell anything from knick knacks to Gelato to an actual cafe with an owl petting area!

However, it wasn't all that big so we jetted off to show you more of THE CITY. Snuck over to an ancient shrine dedicated to those who have fallen during earthquakes in our area. Lastly, we headed to a beach made entirely of seashells! It was a fantastic day, and I am hoping you'll enjoy the video I made for you all! PEACE!

大國魂神社のくらやみ祭は、古代の国府祭が起源とされ、東京都の無形民俗文化財に指定されています。神社の創立も西暦111年(約1900年前)で、長い歴史を誇る由緒正しい神社です。今回は5月5日の最も重要なお祭りにスポットを当て、古代より大切に受け継がれてきた祭りの映像をお送りします。下記にくらやみ祭の簡単な日程を載せておきますので、来年行かれる方はどうぞ参考にしてください。

Yokohama Trip ~ Aquarium & Cup Noodle Museum | patplustricia

The CIEE study abroad program took us to Yokohama and we went to the Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise & Cup Noodle Museum! We were able to see lots of sea animals & a performance by dolphins. At the museum, we were able to make our own cup noodles! It was a very hot day but we had a lot of fun! It was also Stephanie's bday so we celebrated it with a chocolate cake & eating okonomiyaki.
