【SAVOR JAPAN】Aizuwakamatsu City,~ A castle town where breath of history can be heard ~
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries certifies areas that attract foreigners visiting Japan with the attractiveness of diverse local food, and agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries which support that, and traditional culture, landscape, and more, and we globally introduce the appeal of rural areas as a brand called “SAVOR JAPAN”. As of May in 2019, 21 areas have been certified. We highly recommend that you see the promotional videos about the certified areas.

Spiffy Places to See in Japan: Aizu Fukushima Part 1
My Trip In March to Aizu of Fukushima Prefecture.
Myself and Coworker Joel decided to road trip it north for a weekend of Onsen and Sightseeing. In this video we visit the Okawa Onsen Resort, Ouchijuku (old trading post town) and Aizu Castle.
To get to Aizu the best way is to rent a car but you need a international or Japanese license to do it. Car rentals are cheap, usually ranging from 70-100$ a day including gas and Freeway tolls. We personally like to use NicoNico Rent a car.
Fukishima is in dire need of tourism money since the 2011 earthquake so I encourage everyone to go, we had a great time, helped support the local community and enjoyed the sights and nature of the area. We at no time felt unsafe and didnt sweat the radiation issue. We didnt want that to stop us from having a good time and doing what we can to help stimulate the local economy.
Have any questions or comments feel free to leave them on the video or messege me!

City of the Samurai, Aizuwakamatsu: Video Update #10
In this video we share our stay at Toyama and Aizuwakamatsu. We visit a number of hot spots during our short stay: including the Aizuwakamatsu castle, a samurai residence, Mt. Iimori and the Oyakuen Garden. Our hosts recommend a delicious and very inexpensive dish of Tanmen ramen. We also try some local sushi at a revolving sushi restaurant where a mini-shinkansen brings your order. Finally we find some time practice calligraphy and write our names in Japanese characters. Aizu is a beautiful city with an incredible history and amazing people.

--------- --------- --------- ORIENTARHYTHM We are Japanese artist unit who expresses through our work the movements, rhythms and spiritual essence unique to traditional Japanese martial arts(Budo). Most notable is our “Projection Live” performance which synchronises dance with projected CG movie and have been performed in 40 countries since 2004. (Among them, a particularly great result is that we performed at the opening ceremony of the 128th International Olympic Committee Congresses in Kuala Lumpur.) Through our original performance, we would like to introduce Japanese Cool to everybody around the world. And, we also hope that our performance will become a catalyst to generate an interest in Japanese culture.

The last samurai of Aizuwakamatsu / 会津若松市
Aizuwakamatsu in Fukushima prefecture has a mystical quality I can't quite describe. The last stand for the samurai before the Meiji Era, this city houses multiple cultural sites: the gravesite of the Byakko-tai, a bukeyashiki samurai manor, and the reproduction of Tsuruga Castle.

Mukaitaki Ryokan, Higashiyama Hot Springs (2) | Nippon.com

The natural spring waters of the Mukaitaki Hot Spring. The inn has a number of different baths, each of them with different properties. In addition to the traditional Kitsuneyu, which dates back to the inn's days as a recreation facility for Aizu's samurai rulers, the inn boasts three different family baths and one large bath, known as the Sarunoyu, for communal bathing. The water emerges at close to 60 degrees, and is brought down to a more comfortable 42--45 degrees as it passes through a series of pipes. No additional heating or dilution takes place.

The Former Samurai Residence (Bukeyashiki)
⚔️The FORMER SAMURAI RESIDENCE (Bukeyashiki) has just reopened on August 2018 after two years of renovations! Included with the renovations a new route that takes visitors into the house was added. ⚔️
????This former samurai residence was typical for middle-class samurais of the Matsue clan during the Edo period. With a public image to upkeep, the house was distinctly split into two parts with the front of the house built for receiving guests and the back for a private living. Step into the house and have a glimpse of the samurai’s way of living.????
