Famous Football Clubs In Training No. 6 - Stoke City (1934)
Titles read: 'Famous Football Clubs In Training No. 6 - Stoke City'.
Brief shots of an athletic statue and athletes in action.
Stoke, Staffordshire.
Various shots of the Stoke City football team in training. We see 44-year-old captain Bob (?) McGrory (the oldest player in league football) with secretary-manager Tom Mather. Other players seen are W Spencer, Tutin, Turner, Harry Sellars, JA Johnson, Harry Davies, Tommy Sale, Bobby Liddle, Stan Matthews (aka Stanley Matthews - we see his peculiar action of stopping the ball and then proceeding when dribbling). Some shots are in slow motion.
Trainer Tommy Vallance looks on while the players head the ball to one another. Tommy is seen tending to the foot of a player in a suit with the club doctor AP Spark. We see goalkeeper Norman Lewis.
Note: commentator refers to McGrory as 'Tom', then as 'Bob' - I think the latter is correct.
There were 3 'seasons' of these 'Football Teams / Clubs in Training' in the Pathe Sound Pictorials - this is an item from the second season.

British Retail Park - Cities Skylines - Part 6 - Realistic European City
Good day to you all and welcome to this Cities Skylines series. Here in Wetherby we are trying to build a realistic european city in the city builder game Cities: Skylines. Inspired by Brighton, Portsmouth and Southampton, we are hoping to create a realistic british city. Enjoy!
In this episode we are working on a typical british retail park. Located on the eastern part of town, near the train station, it gives our cims some excellent shopping alternatives. A retail park is often characterized by a few big box retailers and a lot of car parks. I also added a gas station and a McDonalds in this area. Who wouldn't get hungry after shopping all day. Usually these retail parks are situated outside the city, however I adress that issue in the video and hopefully that all makes sense now. We also build the very first elementary school in Wetherby and use the new Parklife DLC to make the playground around the school look more alive.
Would love some feedback too. I don't live in Britain, so if you're british don't hesitate to head down to the comment section and give me some tips on how to create a realistic british city. All I know is from Google Maps, which I have learned a lot from, however it is sometimes not enough in certain areas.

£ 6 M Battleship 'the Hood' Aka Six Million Pound Battleship Hood (1920)
HMS Hood the Royal Navy's new battleship leaves the river Clyde in Scotland for sea trials. L/S An impressive opening shot of the Hood (presumably still on the Clyde) looking towards her bow. Visible are an array of menacing looking gun turrets and masts. Smoke belches from her funnels. A number of Tugboats have lines attached, compared to these the Hood is truly enormous.
M/S from the stern. A closer look at the ship from the starboard side reveals a hive of activity on the deck, sailors and other naval crew can be seen scurrying around, making sure the ship is in tiptop condition.
L/S On the dock side we can see a large crowd of people watching this spectacular occasion, nearby is a dry dock containing the large hull of another ship under construction.
Good L/S The Tugboats are now towing the ship from the bow and appear to be heading down river.
We also see a variety of C/U's, M/S's and L/S's showing the Gun turrets, life boats, the decks, the ladders, and the two huge funnels. This helps you to appreciate the true scale of the vessel in an era when the British Navy was still the envy of the world.
Note: There are no titles to the film.

☆ Today we explore an abandoned house in Arundel, Sussex UK. The abandoned house was overlooked by many active houses opposite and we explore at night, which means our torches gave us away. To add to the suspense we arrive at the open window entry to the abandoned house to see that there is many signs of squatters being present as well as a run of bottle and cans of various alcohol, beers and vodka etc. We risked it and went inside but was not aware of the biggest shock of all, which was UPSTAIRS!
