Located actually inside Heathrow airport (within terminal 4), in London England, the Yotel hotel is the perfect mini hotel for someone who has an overnight layover. Its cheap, comfortable and it has free wifi, coffee and tea. There's 24hr room service, so no matter what time of the night you arrive you can still get a hot meal and a cold drink, and the cabins are brilliantly designed to have everything you need in a tiny space without feeling like you're shut in a box. We love.

Heathrow Airport, also known as London Heathrow is a major international airport in London, United Kingdom. Heathrow is the second busiest airport in the world (after Dubai International Airport) by international passenger traffic, as well as the busiest airport in Europe by passenger traffic, and the seventh busiest airport in the world by total passenger traffic. It is one of six international airports serving Greater London. In 2018, it handled a record 80.1 million passengers, a 2.7% increase from 2017 as well as 480,339 aircraft movements, an increase of 4,715 from 2017.
Heathrow lies 14 miles (23 km) west of Central London,[and has two parallel east–west runways along with four operational terminals on a site that covers 12.27 square kilometres (4.74 sq mi). Terminal 5 lies between the northern and southern runways at the western end of the Heathrow site and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 14 March 2008,[43] some 19 years after its inception. It opened to the public on 27 March 2008, and British Airways and its partner company Iberia have exclusive use of this terminal. The first passenger to enter Terminal 5 was a UK ex-pat from Kenya who passed through security at 04:30 on the day. He was presented with a boarding pass by the British Airways CEO Willie Walsh for the first departing flight, BA302 to Paris. During the two weeks after its opening, operations were disrupted by problems with the terminal's IT systems, coupled with insufficient testing and staff training, which caused over 500 flights to be cancelled. Until March 2012, Terminal 5 was exclusively used by British Airways as its global hub; however, because of the merger, on 25 March Iberia's operations at Heathrow were moved to the terminal, making it the home of International Airlines Group.[
Built at a cost of £4.3 billion, the terminal consists of a four-story main terminal building (Concourse A) and two satellite buildings linked to the main terminal by an underground people mover transit system. The second satellite (Concourse C), includes dedicated aircraft stands for the Airbus A380. It became fully operational on 1 June 2011. Terminal 5 was voted Skytrax World's Best Airport Terminal 2014 in the Annual World Airport Awards.

Secondly it includes a sun panel solution to use the energy from sun to provide electrical energy. The design similarly shares green vegetation which cools the climate of the Houseboat rental. If you look closely in the middle is has tree growing up towards the top terrace. It has great unique waterfront view of the bay. Flight | London-Gatwick to Los Angeles Intl (DY 7095)
A short video of our Journey to Los Angeles from London Gatwick Airport. We flew with Norwegian Air Shuttle, and despite the low cost offering, the flight was very pleasant; my only complaint would be the baggage allowance of 20kg per person, whereas most international airlines allow for 23 kg. You can pay for extra and/or extra bags, so I guess this is their business model. In flight entertainment was excellent and the seats were quite comfortable by economy standards. They use a Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner for the route, which normally affords a higher level of comfort over older aircraft types.
Took quite a while to clear immigration and collect the hire car (As you can see with the daylight change between the different scenes in the video).
This was the first time I've driven in LA, and I was nervous about driving at night in an unfamiliar city; the sat nav helped alot, but even late at night it the roads were still quite busy.
We'd booked our accomodation in the Best Western Plus Eagle Rock Inn, which is in Glendale. Quite basic accomodation, but luxury was not our priority in LA as we would be out most of the time sightseeing, so only needed to clean, safe place to sleep. The hotel was a typical motel style establishment, though did not disappoint as breakfast was included in the price and the rooms were spacious as very clean- just what we wanted. Parking was challenging at times as we hired a large SUV, and the majority of the spaces at the hotel were for compact cars, so limited offerings for large SUVs and/or full size cars.
The location of the hotel was good for the price as we were no more than 15 miles away from most places we wanted to see i.e. Hollywood Bvld, Long Beach, Universal Studios, Venice Beach etc. If we stayed closer to the city and attractions then we could have easily spent 2-3 times more for accomodation. The only other 'cheap' place to stay in LA was in and around the airport, however we were put off by bad reviews about aircraft noise- ok if your staying for 1 night to catch an early flight, but not something I'd want to experience on a 4 night stay in LA.
