EXPLORING historic NOBEL SQUARE, CAPE TOWN (South Africa)
SUBSCRIBE: - In your wanderings around the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, you might come across four larger-than-life bronzed gentlemen standing pensively in a row. They are the central characters of Nobel Square, dedicated to South Africa’s four Nobel Peace Prize laureates: Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, FW de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. These great men all played their part in helping South Africa to democracy after decades of apartheid. Vic Stefanu, vstefanu@yahoo.com. Cape Town is a coastal city in South Africa. It is the second most populous urban area in South Africa, after Johannesburg. It is also the provincial capital and primate city of the Western Cape. As the seat of the National Parliament it is also the legislative capital of the country

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town
The Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa is situated on the Atlantic shore, Table Bay Harbour, the City of Cape Town and Table Mountain.

The complex houses over 450 retail outlets, including fashion, homeware and curious, to jewellery, leather goods and audio-visual equipment. The V&A Waterfront is also still a working harbour, and fishing boats bring in fresh fish, and larger container ships are towed in by tugboats.
Features in the waterfront:

-Breakwater Lodge (University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business)

350 Years in 3 Minutes CapeTown
The Long March to Freedom is a monumental procession of 100 life-size bronze statues and the largest exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world. The bronze artworks depict South African and international icons, some famous and others unknown, and tell the story of South Africa’s 350 year struggle for freedom and democracy.
The Long March to Freedom is a unique concept. A tour through the procession is an immersive and moving experience, connecting the visitor with the lives of the persons so vividly created in bronze. From the Khoi leaders of the 1600’s, to proud Xhosa and Zulu Kings, to the men and women who led the struggle through the dark years of apartheid, the procession is a sweeping narrative statement of South African pride in the country’s diverse history and cultures.
