Honolulu, on the island of Oahu’s south shore, is capital of Hawaii and gateway to the U.S. island chain. The Waikiki neighborhood is its center for dining, nightlife and shopping, famed for its iconic crescent beach backed by palms and high-rise hotels, with volcanic Diamond Head crater looming in the distance. Sites relating to the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor include the USS Arizona Memorial.
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.

Hawaii Artists - Rocky Jensen Pt 3
An in depth profile on Hawaiian master artist, Rocky Jensen
Rep. Gil Riviere speaks with artist Bill Braden
Art at the capitol is an annual event in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rep. Gil Riviere speaks with artist Bill Braden.
Bill Braden was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1958. He moved to Hawaii 1970. Bill studied at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 1976 and received a BA from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence Rhode Island and Rome, Italy in 1980. Even though Bill studied at these top art schools he feels it was painting on location in Hawaii that gave him the real applied experience he needed to be a land and seascape artist. His first exhibition was called Lanikai Perspective at Kailua Gallery in 1978.
Bill was selected from over 200 applicants to paint The Best Beaches of Hawaii for the City and County of Honolulu in 1990. He credits his experience being one of a handful of artist at Wyland Galleries Hawaii (out of thousands of applicants) in the 90's as the best business schooling ever. His work can be seen at the gift shops of the Honolulu Academy of Arts and Bishop Museum in Honolulun s well as in many other gift shops and galleries all over the state of Hawaii.

Karen Thrasher ~ Painter, Glass, Ceramic and Textile artitst from the Big Island of Hawaii
Born and educated in the state of Michigan, Karen attended Michigan State University and graduated with honors from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Karen is well versed in many mediums. Vibrant color and flowing lines characterize these art works. Her images are simple and yet bold. The intense beauty is both captivating and haunting. She hopes to create a sense of joie de vivre through her images. Ceramics and glass are also among her favorite mediums. She loves the immediacy, surprise and mystery of Raku as well as the infinite possibilities for expression through sculptural Low-Fire ceramics. Glass has always held a special place in Karen's heart. She creates large panels of leaded, fused and etched glass. Two of these panels may be publicly viewed at the Waimea Center on the Big Island. Most recently, she has been learning the art of glass blowing. You can reach Karen at alohakaren@earthlink.net or at:

Please check out my bestie YT friend, Tammy (yoyomax12):
Tammy and I have been friends for many years and met here on YouTube! Since then we have met up in real life many times. You will LOVE her tutorials and learn how to decorate cupcakes better than most bakeries do. She lives in Canada, but I really wish she lived next door.
Also check out Jenn of cupcakesandcardio. You will love her as well.
Jenn and I have met in real life twice and done some video collaborations together. When we are together, we get each other. It is hard to explain to people sometimes what you do and it is nice to be comfy knowing that she also understands everything I am talking about. Oddly enough, she too lives in Canada. I may have to move there soon since such awesome ladies are produced there!
Lastly, smile! I like it when you smile :)
