How To Visit Nokonoshima | 花の島、能古島での過ごし方!
Summer is coming, and Fukuoka is one prefecture that is best enjoyed when you can spend time outside! Have you visited Nokonoshima yet? Now that it's getting warmer, this is one place I can recommend for a chill one-day getaway from the city. It isn't too far (only 10 minutes by ferry!), it isn't too expensive (less than 5 dollars round trip!), and whether you want to explore, hang out by the water, take photos, organize a picnic, or even just find a scenic spot to sit down and read a book, this island is the perfect place for a mini-adventure!

Nokonoshima Island, Fukuoka City ???? のこのしまアイランドパーク ???? Japan As It Truly Is
Nokonoshima is one of Fukuoka's great hidden treasures - an island in the middle of Hakata Bay that offers camping, nature walks, and many varieties of flowers all year long. It's only a 10 minute ferry ride from Kyushu and if the weather is good is a great way to spend an afternoon. The Nokonoshima Island Park offers a beautiful garden all year long, and the island has great hiking, swimming, and camping.
Some of the flowers you can see blooming there:
Spring - daffodils, plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, poppies, rape blossoms, daisies, azaleas.
Summer - hydrangea, dahlias, crape myrtle, coral trees
Autumn - cosmos, dahlias, coral trees
Winter - Sasanqua, Japanese narcissus, camellia

Take a city operated ferry from Meinohama, Fukuoka and arrive at Nokonoshima in just ten minutes.
This island, rich in nature, just sits in the middle of Hakata Bay.
The Nokonoshima Island Park is a natural park of about 150 thousand square meters stretching out in the northern part of Nokonoshima Island. The park is filled with blossoming flowers such as cherry, broccolini and cosmos all year round.

Nakasu Island, Fukuoka, Japan
Nakasu Island is an island between the Naka River and the Hakata River. It is the largest red-light district in western Japan.
Nakasu is home to many restaurants and adult entertainment establishments and comes alive after dark. There are many traditional yatai stalls (small, mobile food stalls) along the river.

Nokonoshima - Sleepy fishing ports, beautiful coastal views, and delicious local restaurants
Nokonoshima is an island close to Fukuoka city.
It only takes about 10 minutes ferry ride from Meinohama port to get there.
You can circle it easily on foot – it’s only 12 kilometers all the way round –
and there are great views of Fukuoka City looking back over the water.
There’s a playground near the bed of seasonal flowers where
children can play as you nose around the food stalls. Conveniently
situated near the playground is a barbecue area – perfect for
getting your grill on in summer.
By the way, the best way to enjoy your Nokonoshima trip is by bicycle.
Take in the beauty of the scenery as it changes through the seasons,
from seas of pink and white cosmos flowers in October to rows of
golden sunflowers blooming after the end of the rainy season in July.

4K 志賀島 福岡市 Shika Island Fukuoka Kyushu JAPAN
Shikanoshima Island 志賀島 is an island in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka, Japan. The greatest point of this island is definitely the marvelous ocean! Located just at the shoe of the Hakata Bay, Shikanoshima Island is connected to the Kyushu mainland by sandbank.
The island is known as the spot where the Gold Seal of the King of Na, a national treasure, was discovered. The island is about 11 kilometres.
On the hill that commands a view of Hakata Bay, two farmers found the golden seal in 1784. The area was developed into a park to commemorate the discovery, and designated Kin-in Park. According to Chinese chronicles, about 2,000 years ago, the Emperor Guangwu of Han, a dynasty of ancient China, granted an envoy from Japan a golden block seal, which was to be presented to the envoy's king. The seal was engraved with the characters 漢委奴国王.
From the mainland, the sandbank provides easy access by car, railway and bus (via Umi-no-nakamichi), and ferries from Hakata Futo. It is an ideal destination for a short trip to explore the abundance of nature, beautiful scenery as well as some historic sites of old shrines and stone monuments.

72 Hours in Hakata Island, Japan // Hidden Gem #hakataisland #cherryblossoms #travelvlog
Hi everyone, I'm back with another travel vlog – this time from Hakata-Jima (Hakata Island) in Japan, where my grandma lives! This was a very special trip and video to edit, because I rarely get to see my grandma, and this is also the island where my dad grew up throughout his childhood. Coming back here is always such a treat.
I hope you enjoy! Hakata-Jima is a lesser-known spot in Japan but it's so underrated! There is actually a lot you can do, and since it's part of a string of islands in the Ehime Prefecture, it's so easy to drive across to the other islands nearby via the bridges. My parents met up with me in Hakata-Jima, and we drove around to Imabari and Matsuyama, which are two other cities on the islands.
See below for a list of the places I went to!
Happy traveling xx
Eri
