I'll do it again with the camera cap locked to get rid of that rattling. I'll use a different mount too. Stem mount is as shaky as it gets, but it's what I had at the time.

Road Cycling, Morning, Kennesaw, GA. April 18, 2017
Cycling during morning hours and avoiding morning traffic roads.
This bike is an aluminum cyclocross bike with Soma Junebug dirt drop bars. It has street tires on it for rides like this.
The thumb shifter on the right side is ok but not as good as a lever shifter would be. I'll change that some day. It's a matter of changing from 7 speed and rim brakes to 8 or 9 speed and disc brake: it'll take a disc brake wheel, derailleur, brake & rotor, and lever.
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park ASAP PLUMBING AND IRRIGATION REPAIRS 904-346-1266
Kennesaw Battlefield Park, at 905 Kennesaw Mountain Drive between Marietta and Kennesaw, Georgia, preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign, and also contains Kennesaw Mountain.
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,923 acre National Battlefield that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Opposing forces maneuvered and fought here from June 19, 1864 until July 2, 1864. Although most famous as a Civil War battlefield, Kennesaw Mountain has a much richer story.
Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield now has self-guided cell phone audio tour. It's easy to use: you simply dial the tour number and enter a three digit stop number. Below is an accompanying brochure that explains how to use the system. If you are interested in hearing the tour, please call 770-325-0444. You can obtain a copy of the instructional brochure from the Visitor Center or by downloading it from the link below (requires Adobe Reader).
View our 18 minute movie on the Atlanta Campaign and Battle of Kennesaw, which is also for sale in our bookstore. After getting acquainted with us, visit our much expanded museum which reopened in November of 2002. The museum is more than twice the size of the previous one and includes many artifacts which have never been on display before. The exhibits not only tell the military story, but also the civilian, medical and communication aspects of the Atlanta Campaign. Kids can pick up a Junior Ranger book and get involved in what they're seeing at the Battlefield while parents browse the bookstore and take home a little of Kennesaw Mountain.
On weekdays, you can take a drive to the top of the mountain, on weekends a shuttle bus is available to the mountain top. If you drive to Cheatham Hill (the main battlefield) then to Kolb Farm you can discover more of the deeper history of Kennesaw Mountain. You can also picnic in designated areas and then enjoy a hike on some of the 18 miles of our maintained interpretive trails. Make sure to bring your binoculars to go birdwatching or your camera and capture a moment of the natural beauty and history of Kennesaw Mountain NBP. Visit our Maps & Trails page for more information to guide you through the park.
Ambrose Bierce, a native Ohioan, enlisted into Federal service in April 1861. The experience of war ignited a flame of passion within the 19 year old soldier, as he witnessed several of the Civil War's bloodiest affairs. From Shiloh to Stones River, Chickamauga to the Atlanta Campaign, 2nd Lieutenant Bierce, serving under Brigadier General William B. Hazen, observed the horrors of war - scenes later recounted in his various writings. Despite incurring a head wound near Kennesaw Mountain in June 1864, Bierce returned to action, as Federal troops fought the Confederate Army of Tennessee at Franklin and Nashville in late 1864.
Bierce continued to suffer from his wound, and received a medical discharge in early 1865, when he sheathed his sword in favor of the pen, and embarked upon a long and distinguished writing career. Through a cooperative agreement between the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and Kennesaw State University's Center for the Study of the Civil War Era, three of Bierce's narratives appear here.
The Atlanta Campaign
Standing beside the breastworks on that summer evening, under the shadow of grim and silent Kennesaw, with twilight deepening into night, there were shadows on all our hearts as well, shadows that stretched beyond us and fell on hearts and hearthstones far away, shadows that rest there still and never will be lifted.
-Walter Clark, 1st Georgia Infantry
Three long years have passed since the firing upon Fort Sumter and both sides were growing tired of the war. General Grant, the newly appointed Supreme Commander of the Union Army, developed a plan that he hoped would bring a successful end to the War. Part of that plan was to send General Sherman's Army into Georgia to destroy General Joseph Johnston's Confederate Army as well as his supply operations.
