I was quietly walking on the beach of Noordhoek today when i found an sdcard with this video. Of course fly there is not allowed (this beach it's a no fly zone ) and i would NOT fly here, but as i found a video of someone else i tough was a waste to don't share it with the world ;)

Noordhoek is a suburb of Cape Town which is 34km south of Cape Town city itself. Noordhoek valley is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean, which offers a 7km stretch of untouched beach and the world famous Chapmans Peak drive and Silvermine mountains.

Noordhoek beach and the Hoek is a classis beach surf spot within the Cape Town peninsula and on this day early in January 2019, the gale force offshore winds had died overnight, leaving spectacular sea conditions, not much surf but such clear water!

Noordhoek Beach, stretches from Longbeach Kommetjie all the way to the foot of
Chapman's Peak. It is one of the last unspoilt beaches in the Cape. Enjoy a walk of go for a surf at The Hoek. Many guest houses and hotels in the area. You are also spoilt for choice with restaurants on either side of Chappies

Noordhoek is a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, located below Chapman's Peak on the west coast of the Cape Peninsula, approximately thirty-five kilometres to the south of the city itself. The name Noordhoek was taken from Dutch and literally means north corner. It is best known for its picturesque shoreline and its long, wide, sandy beach, which stretches south to the neighbouring village of Kommetjie. Near the southern end of this beach is the wreck of the steamship Kakapo, which ran aground about a century ago when the captain mistook Chapmans' Peak for the Cape of Good Hope and put the helm over to port.
Noordhoek can be accessed either from the spectacular scenic coastal road, Chapman's Peak Drive, which leads out of Hout Bay or via the mountain road Ou Kaapse Weg which cuts through the beautiful Silvermine Nature Reserve - now part of the Table Mountain National Park. Noordhoek is a small scattered community of nice houses, often with sea views and has a large horse population as riding on the long sandy beach is a great attraction.

Noordhoek Beach Ride June 21, 2015
Today was the shortest day of the year in South Africa (our winter solstice), but also one of the loveliest! I don't think I've ever been able to say that before (until I moved here)! A few photos from our beach ride with Lynn Duddy, Susi Petersen, Hal Petersen, and Janice Fleischer Our horses were tired from yesterday and stayed well under control today. Lots of people on the beach in the good weather!
