Noosa North Shore Ferry
Here's some footage of the Noosa North Shore Ferry.
There is no bridge across the Noosa River, so the ferry is the only way to get to the North Shore without driving all the way to Rainbow beach and back down.
The south side is called the Moorindil st wharf on Google Maps, and when you drive off the ferry on the North side you are on Maximillion rd.

Noosa North Shore Ferry Line Up
This was taken on the 27th of December 2016.
I just wanted to show everyone what the ferry line up can look like on bad day.
I was coming back from a beach ride, and it was backed up to Crank st. Apparently, a bit earlier the line went all the way to Poinciana Avenue.

Noosa Villages - Noosa North Shore
Across the river from Noosa Heads and Noosaville is Noosa North Shore - a long stretch of white sand, dunes and beautiful coastline, and the gateway to World Heritage-listed Fraser Island and Great Sandy National Park. A quick and convenient car ferry operates 7 days a week from Tewantin to take you to Noosa North Shore which showcases the region's unspoilt nature to perfection.
Find your own spot along the long stretch of beach to relax, or for the more energetic, why not try horse riding, four wheel driving, swimming, fishing and surfing? Refuel at the local family-friendly restaurant.
Go kayaking on the unspoilt Lake Cooroibah or see the wonderful array of native wildlife including kangaroos and birds. Noosa North Shore has various accommodation options, so it's a great day out or a perfect place to chill out longer.
Drive along the beach past Teewah and the Coloured Sands, all the way to Rainbow Beach and Double Island Point.
Take the car ferry from the end of Moorindil Street, Tewantin -- it's a short, 2-minute trip across the river. Some parts of Noosa North Shore are accessible by all vehicles, although 4WD is needed to travel along the beach. Vehicle permits are required to drive along the beach and on some inland tracks.
Noosa Villages - Kin Kin
Kin Kin is a small town that is renowned for its great food, art and scenery. Located in the rolling green hills of the Noosa hinterland, 'Kin Kin' is the Aboriginal name for a species of small black ant that is common in the area.
The town was founded in the late 1800s on the back of the booming timber industry, which sought the eucalypts and cedars found in surrounding forests. The quality of Kin Kin timber was famous throughout Australia. Later, dairy farming flourished in the area.
Today it is a retreat for artists, foodies, and local farmers and is home to one of Australia's premier health retreats as well as a residential massage school.
Things to do
Located in the nearby Kin Kin rolling hills is a herbal tea plantation that produces tea under its own label, be sure to try some Kin Kin Tea.
The Country Life Hotel is an historic pub that has recently emerged refreshed from a refurbishment and facelift. Order a hearty meal in the dining room, take your place at a stool in the expansive airy bar, or find a table under a broad umbrella in the large beer garden and catch a band in the open air.
Just around the corner from the pub, keep a look out for artist-run sculpture gardens where recycled materials stand sentry.
If you're looking to make a positive health change, combined with some pampering and relaxation, Living Valley Springs Health Retreat may be the perfect remedy.
Noosa Trail Network, a series of tracks and trails over mixed terrain for walkers, and horse and mountain bike riders, starts in Kin Kin.
Getting there
Kin Kin is 40 minutes drive from Noosa Heads.
