Norwegian Commentary !!
This is not a tutorial on how to fly the plane, but nearly a in flight video with Norwegian commentary. I am not a pilot or claim to be one, so do not use my skills to learn.
Todays flight from Oslo to Stavanger went pretty ok, had some minor issues on the descent and for some strange reasons I had to be extra aware on the final approach. But all in all, the plane behaved ok, I have seen worse. Sadly since there was some time passed since my last video, I seem to have forgotten how to fly this correct, wonder if I ever will he he. Anyway, forgot to set local QNH which luckily was the same as STD, and I most certain forgot something on approach too..
Well, you learn as you go and hopefully you learn from my mistakes too :)

26 May 2015 Helicopter Trip to Stavanger
This February 1984 Trip video is not good quality, but it is a record of the journey Peter Yeates organised in 1984. The trip was by special permission of the then Commandant Army Aviation Centre Colonel David Mallam AAC. VISIT NORWAY FROM THE COCKPIT. The front Office. Amazing view. A MUST SEE and SHARE
From an empty flight in to Stavanger. A very long radar vectoring but an AMAZING view. What a fantastic country Norway. Stavanger with a huge Oil business.
A lot of crosswind and a very bumpy runway. Enjoy the view from the Pilots eye and ATC chatter.
If you are in to Aviation, Photo, Drone flying, Scenery filming, Flight simulation, RC, Travel, Tourism, you should take a deeper look into this channel. Hope you like the videos. Welcome to Share and comment. Thank you. Remember to get a Travel insurance befor you go abroad. Benn there and done that. A litle advice. Also if you are flying RC. I have seen many videos of crashing UAV and planes. You are doomed without a proper insurance. :) SAFETY FIRST. :)
Oslo by private airplane
Heading to the sky above Oslo with our friends was an incredible journey that we will never forget. Seeing the city we love from a new perspective, with good people, and the amazing pilot Magnus Torgersen was magical. The pilot is only 17 years old, but already such an experienced Captain.
Thanks Himanshu, Labib and Magnus. You are one kick ass crew. We loved the experience.
Until next time - Booya!

Offshore Helicopter Flight

Helicopter Safety in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry
Whether its training elements throughout the company, survival equipment that everybody wears, right on through to simulator training and high-level activity like that- there’s a lot that goes into helicopter transport offshore for Newfoundland and Labrador to ensure that everybody is safe. Aircraft maintenance is my specialty.
We’ve got a daily inspection on each of the aircraft as per normal. We’ll carry up shortly for that work. We’ve got a 50-hour inspection on SCH. And, of course, independent control checks and critical maintenance tasks are in orders; you, know just make sure everybody is diligent and paying attention to all those requirements.
The Canadian helicopter industry is heavily regulated by Transport Canada. Operating in one of the world’s most challenging environments means that we must have the highest level of skill for pilots, maintenance, dispatch; and in order to maintain that level of skill, it means continuous training and improvement of our processes.
Myself and Sean are actually going on a technical training for four weeks starting on Sunday. In my absence, Scott McCarthy is going to fill in for me.
Every helicopter is heavily maintained and controlled and, as an example, on the S92 helicopter there’s a health and usage monitoring system that basically has a bunch of sensors all throughout the helicopter monitoring the vibrations, bearing temperatures, and other data. And after every flight, that data is downloaded and analyzed and it can predict any potential system failure.
Our maintenance program has a lot of safeguards built in. In many cases, there’s a second and third level of authorization carried out on the maintenance performed.
Regardless of whether an aircraft flies on a daily basis, we do a check to ensure that all systems are functional and there’s no developments in the aircraft since it’s been last looked over.
I’ve been in the industry for a little over 30 years now and the question I always ask myself: Would I put my family on this aircraft? And if I can answer that with a firm yes, then the aircraft is safe to go.
