Norfolk County is a rural and single tier municipality on north shore of Lake Erie in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. According to census 2016, population of Norfolk County was around 64,044. Amazing Tourist Places in Norfolk County, Ontario make Norfolk County an amazing place to visit in Ontario, Canada.
Simcoe, Ontario is the one of the largest community in Norfolk County. As per census 2016, population of Simcoe was around 13,922. Other population centres are Port Rowan, Waterford, Delhi and Port Dover and there are number of smaller communities.
For the several years, in late 20th century, county was merged with the Haldimand County buy this merged entity got dissolved in year 2000.
Main festivals in Norfolk County include the Horse Show in Simcoe and Norfolk County Fair, Simcoe Christmas Panorama, Delhi Harvest Fest, Waterford Pumpkin Fest, BayFest in Port Rowan, Norfolk Studio Tour, Port Dover Summer Fest, Delhi Strawberry Festival, Simcoe Rotary Friendship Festival and Canada Day Celebration in Port Dover.
Amazing Tourist Places in Norfolk County, Ontario
1. Paddle around the Waterford Ponds: There is no any more better way to see ponds than from water itself.
You can go for camp at Waterford North Conservation Area, hiking on Waterford Heritage Trail, Swimming and Fishing.
2. Walk across Waterford Black Bridge: When you are at Ponds; heads up towards old train bridge above for a eye view like a bird.
This bridge spanned across the river, and looks across all forests and ponds come into the distance.

Port Ryerse /Norfolk County-Ontario
Port Ryerse is a fishing hamlet in Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada, southwest of Port Dover. The hamlet is popular with persons from Southwestern Ontario who rent cottages and fish for pleasure during the summer months (Victoria Day through mid-October).
Many of the residents live here year-round. Most of the people here drive to Port Dover or Simcoe to purchase groceries and other goods, although there was a historic general store until September 2004, when it burned down. Handmade soap and bath shop and folk art shop still exist in the community.
This community lies at the mouth of Young's Creek (popular with trout fishermen) and empties into Long Point Bay. Nearby is Hay Creek Conservation Area, that can be used year-round and is suitable for hiking, walking, cycling cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Conestogo Lake to Guelph - Ontario Bike Tour #2 - Day 9 of 10
This video summarizes Day 9 of my 10 day solo bicycle trip along the shores of Lake Simcoe and Lake Huron in Southern Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Saturday 28, 2018.
As I was pulling away from my campsite at Conestogo Lake it started raining heavily I took refuge under a picnic shelter while I consulted the Environment Canada weather radar for the area. I exited the conservation area onto Wellington Rd 11 heading North East. I turned right onto the 4th line heading South East. Along with road I passed a Mennonite Church and a Mennonite School. After Sideroad 18 the road curves and becomes Ruggles Rd as I entered into Woolwich Township within Waterloo Region. At the intersection of Ruggles Rd and Floradale Rd I stopped at Bonnie Lou's Cafe for a late breakfast in the community of Floradale. I proceeded West along Forapine Rd and then turned left onto Arthur St. At Sandy Hills Dr I turned right and continued East until reaching Northfield Dr E where I headed north. After crossed into the Township of Centre Wellington, within Wellington County, I made a right turn onto the 8th line and headed South east. While I was crossing the Carrol Creek a spotted a mother deer and her faun stopped for a drink from the creek. After crossing over the grand river I turned left onto Sideroad 12 (because I missed Sideroad 10), then left onto the 6th line, and the finally right onto Sideroad 10. On this road I passed the Bethany United Church before turning right onto the 2nd line heading South East. At Sideroad 14 I turned left which took me over to Wellington Rd 7 where I jogged South East before continuing North East on the 8th Line. On this road I passed a sheep farm with many baby lambs. I turned right onto Jones Baseline. I had originally been planning on camping at Rockwood Conservation Area, but since it was completely full, I made a right turn onto Mill Rd, then a left onto Watson Rd which took me to Guelph Lake Conservation Area instead.
After setting up my campsite I explored the conservation area including Guelph Lake Island then headed toward the City of Guelph along Conservation Rd. I explored out onto the Hydroelectric Dam which forms Guelph Lake. At Victoria Rd N I turned left and headed South East. After crossing the Speed River I joined the Royal Recreation Trail and followed it down into Guelph through Riverside Park. At Speedvale Ave I switched to riding on Woolwich St which took me past the Guelph Water Tower. I headed into the downtown along Norfolk St. I also explored Quebec St, Wyndham St and Macdonell St before stopping for dinner at Muy-Thai restaurant. After enjoying a delicious Panang Curry, I rode back to the conservation area along Wyndham St, Eramosa Rd and Victoria Rd. Along the way I stopped at Zehres Market to stock up on some groceries. At Conservation Rd I turned right which brought be back to Guelph Lake.

The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.

We found this beautiful spot to enjoy the great view of Scanlon Creek Conservation Area!

Explore forests, marshlands, and glacial erratics at Scanlon Creek Conservation Area. A trail system runs throughout the conservation area, providing hikers with a chance to explore most of the 300 hectare property. The remainder is a nature preserve to help protect the flora and fauna that reside in the area.
In the spring, wildflowers and migrating birds are plentiful, and the fall colours are spectacular. During summer Scanlon Creek's picnic pavilions are the perfect place for family reunions, company picnics, and youth group camp-overs.

It's mid June and Johnny and I are accompanied by our friend Ben while we are on the maiden voyage this year with the boat out on Lake Simcoe to try jigging for lake whitefish and lake trout. Bass season in certain MNR fishing zones seems to be creeping up a bit too early in recent years. In Zone 16 males were still on their nests! Good sportsmanship and ethics are mentioned. In our adventure, we drive close to Environment Canada's Weather Buoy.
After that, we go for boat ride past an alarming number of double-crested cormorants. Please see some links below to find out more and for some contact information so you can help reduce their numbers by writing and voicing your concerns.
