Hardanger Fjord from Strandebarm, Norway (Hordaland/Kvam)

I went to visit my host's grandparents yesterday. His grandmother was playing outside when the Nazis marched around the corner, there to recapture Norway from the British. Some scary stories were told.

The fjord is a dark grey because of the lack of blue sky -- but still, quite pretty!

The most visited waterfall where you can hike behind the cascading waters to enjoy the absolute roar of the falling waters without getting wet.

The hike is less than half a mile from the parking lot.

The Steinsdalsfossen has a fall of 46m and the fall occured in 1699 when the river changed course. Steinsdalsfossen is part of the Fosselva river that comes from the water of the lake Myklavatnet, located 814 metres (2,671 ft) above sea level in the mountains above the waterfall.

One of the many waterfalls we saw on our road trip from Bergen to Låtefossen or Låtefoss located in Odda in Hordaland County, Norway.

We didn't hike down but the view from the curbside itself is awesome.
