SUMMARY
=======
A pub, or public house, is an establishment licensed to sell alcoholic drinks, which traditionally include beer (such as ale) and cider. It is a relaxed, social drinking establishment and a prominent part of British, Irish, Breton, New Zealand, Canadian, South African and Australian cultures. In many places, especially in villages, a pub is the focal point of the community. In his 17th-century diary Samuel Pepys described the pub as the heart of England.Pubs can be traced back to Roman taverns, through the Anglo-Saxon alehouse to the development of the tied house system in the 19th century. In 1393, King Richard II of England introduced legislation that pubs had to display a sign outdoors to make them easily visible for passing ale tasters, who would assess the quality of ale sold. Most pubs focus on offering beers, ales and similar drinks. As well, pubs often sell wines, spirits, and soft drinks, meals and snacks. The owner, tenant or manager (licensee) is known as the pub landlord or landlady, or publican. Referred to as their local by regulars, pubs are typically chosen for their proximity to home or work, the availability of a particular beer or ale or a good selection, good food, a social atmosphere, the presence of friends and acquaintances, and the availability of recreational activities such as a darts team, a skittles team, and a pool or snooker table. The pub quiz was established in the UK in the 1970s.

Hobart
Hobart (UK: /ˈhoʊbɑrt/) is the capital and most populous city of the Australian island state of Tasmania. Founded in 1804 as a penal colony, Hobart is Australia's second oldest capital city after Sydney, New South Wales. The city is located in the state's south-east on the estuary of the Derwent River, making it the most southern of Australia's capital cities, and its harbour forms the second-deepest natural port in the world.
In June 2013, the city had a greater area population of approximately 217,973. Its skyline is dominated by the 1,271-metre (4,170 ft) Mount Wellington. It is the financial and administrative heart of Tasmania, serving as the home port for both Australian and French Antarctic operations and acting as a major tourist hub, with over 1.19 million visitors in 2011/2012. The metropolitan area is often referred to as Greater Hobart, to differentiate it from the City of Hobart local government area.

SUMMARY
=======
In Australia, a coffee palace was a temperance hotel built during 1880s. They were hotels that did not serve alcohol, built in response to the temperance movement and, in particular, the influence of the Independent Order of Rechabites in Australia. James Munro was a particularly vocal member of this movement. Coffee Palaces were often multi-purpose or mixed use buildings which included a large number of rooms for accommodation as well as ballrooms and other function and leisure facilities.

Giant One-Armed Crocodile - Brutus
His name is Brutus. And this massive 16.5 foot, or 5.5 meter, giant one armed crocodile is who people hope to see when they take one of the popular jumping crocodile tours on the Adelaide river in Australia's northern territory.
Brutus is definitely a rarity. 70 is very old for a crocodile, Brutus, is thought to be up to 80 years old. He is also missing his front right leg, thought to have been bitten of by a shark when he was younger. And, even with just his head above the water, you can still tell it's Brutus because of his several missing teeth, another rarity, since crocodiles normally grow new teeth to replace old or lost ones.
When pictures of Brutus were posted on the internet earlier this year and many thought they were photo-shopped, but tour guides like Harry Bowman attests that Brutus is very real, and, not even the largest croc on the river.
At half meter longer, that honor goes to a croc nicknamed Barabas. Apparently both croc can be occasionally seen on the river though the two have been seen fighting, so the tour boats try to keep them apart. So according to Harry and contrary to rumor the massive croc Brutus and his slightly larger sparring partner Barabus, are very real.
