HAWAIIAN TEMPLE | Laie Hawaii Temple
We visited the Laie Hawaii Temple. This temple is owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and we enjoyed seeing the beautiful temple grounds on our lazy Sunday. It's good to regularly disconnect from the world and evaluate the direction you want your life to go. We enjoyed our Sunday!

Hi! We're just your average husband and wife flying around the world in business class for FREE. Without our miles and points, we never would have been able to afford this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We grew up on opposite sides of the United States in Texas and Ohio. Later in college, we met and got married in August of 2016. As poor newly weds and recent college grads, we moved to New York City to begin what we thought would be our long careers in finance. Only one year later, after accumulating over 2 million points through travel hacking, we booked round-the-world business class tickets to over 40 countries. Completely for free, using the personal travel hacks we had learned to save us $62,000. We quit our jobs, sold everything we owned, and began this once-in-a-lifetime adventure on August 27, 2018. Our hope is to entertain and enrich you every day through our daily videos, as well as share the personal travel hacks we're using to travel the world for free :) Let's be friends :) say hello sometime!

The Cost of Living in Hawaii - Housing, Groceries, & more!
I have lived here for 4 years now and this has been one of my most requested videos! I thought I’d go ahead and share a realistic picture of what it costs to live in Hawaii. These are based on my personal experiences and might be different depending on where you live and on which island.
Both money and Hawaii are sensitive topics which is why I don’t dive too deep into some of the complicated issues surrounding the problems that Hawaii faces. I consider myself a guest here and am slowly seeking to understand and educate myself more.
Here are some of the current costs laid out:
Rent for 1 bedroom apartment: $1,500-$2200 / month
Groceries and eating out for 2 people: $500-$800 / month
Car: about the same as mainland but requires more maintenance due to humidity and salt in the air. Registration / safety is about $400 a year.
Gas: $3.25 / gallon
Gym on North Shore: $200 / month
Crossfit gym on North Shore: $180 / month
(Specific to Hawaii) Self employed GE tax: 5%
Grocery costs in the video:
Loaf of bread: $5-8
Bananas: $1-2 / lb
Avocados: $2.50 each
Lemons + limes: $1 each
Strawberries: $6-8 for small carton
Bell peppers: $5 / lb
Broccoli, carrots, & most other veggies: $2-4 / lb
Kale + lettuce: $3-5 / lb
Peanut butter: $7-10
Orange juice: $7
Organic milk: $8
Almond milk: $6
Regular non-fat milk: $6
Butter: $5-7
8 CT granola bars: $5
11 oz Gold Fish: $6
Dreyers ice cream: $9
Lots of these can be found cheaper if you shop around or look at Costco though!
If you want to move to Hawaii you need to be realistic. Having a specific skill set such as a trade or years of experience will help you in the job market. It is difficult for even people born here to find a job, so please be mindful that there are limited resources. Another option is to work remotely or self employed. It’s a good idea to test the waters by coming here for a semester or internship to see if you even like it here. Most people move away because living in Hawaii is not easy or convenient.
Housing is also extremely limited. I get asked all the time if I know of any places for rent but to be honest, if I did I would be living there or telling my friends about it first! It’s best if you have connections on the island already. There aren’t a ton of options but if you are flexible about location you will find something. It took us a few years to find a place we really liked and it was only because we had connections.
There’s nothing wrong with keeping Hawaii as a vacation spot! Come enjoy the island, be mindful of its culture and people, try lots of good food, and spend your money where it counts.
I have some resources on my blog that dive more into Hawaii stuff if you're interested:
If you want to explore a bit more about Hawaiian culture feel free to check out my photography gallery of people and stories I’ve captured throughout the islands!

Schofield-Waikane to Kahana via US Army Ridge
I saw a line on a map from 1917 that clearly showed a trail on this ridge... Ha, ha, ha! Not worth doing again but it was a fun day of exploration with lots and lots of crunch Uluhe for the crew.
Ohana 6 go to the Tide Pools! (#49)
The Tide Pools on the North Shore of Oahu are a great place for little kids to explore, swim, and see ocean animals. Bring a net, water shoes, and suncreen for a fun time! Good option for when the waves are too big for the keiki elswhere on the North Shore.
Overthrowing a Kingdom | Hawaii
Hawaii went from a kingdom, to a republic, to a state in under 200 years. Unlike previous conquests, the series of events that lead to annexation is far more confusing than you might imagine.

Cody Easterbrook named ‘Chief World Explorer’ finalist I KHON2
Laie resident Cody Easterbrook says he has been preparing for this trip his whole life.
“Today, I am speaking to you all the way from Abu Dhabi,” Easterbrook said.
The world traveler is one of five people in the running to become Jauntaroo’s Chief World Explorer for a year with a hefty paycheck of $100,000.
“They’ve got me staying in a palace over here, so it’s not a bad place. I’ve ridden a camel, I’ve gone to watch the stars in the desert, I’ve played with falcons,” Easterbrook said.
Last summer, the Brigham Young University Hawaii graduate and teacher at Kahaluu Elementary school submitted an audition video to the travel website for what was being called the “Best Job in the World.” He was selected as one out of 50 people who made it to the semi-finals, and after online voting was the top vote getter with close to 27,000 votes, which propelled him to the final five.
The competition continues this week in Abu Dhabi in the Middle East.
“We may be competing for the same job, but we are all like-minded travelers and kindred souls. It’s been great to travel to a new place with people who are just like you,” Easterbrook said.
The other four finalists — two girls and two guys. One Australian and three other Americans — are being judged based on how they interact and travel with each other.
“As a teacher at Kahaluu Elementary School, it has prepared me to be organized spontaneous and creative, which I think will be an asset to any world traveler,” Easterbrook said.
The part-time luau host at the Polynesian Cultural Center also says being from Hawaii and coming out on top with the most votes from the semi-finals gives him a little something extra.
“Giving me that boost that I need of confidence and sharing the aloha and I think that’s what we do best. A community is we share that aloha,” Easterbrook said.
The winner will be announced in New York on Thursday.

Polynesian Cultural Center - A Cultural Attraction for Tourist and Locals
The Polynesian Cultural Center - Oahu's most popular attraction in Laie opens new canoe show called Huki.
Huki (meaning “to pull”) celebrates the great ocean highway of the Pacific through depictions of the open-sea voyages of our earliest ancestors, navigating through wayfinding and exploration. The water show’s captivating and intriguing story will also share with our visitors the Polynesian perspective that the ocean does not divide the islands of Polynesia and its peoples, but unites us through its vast highway.
Polynesian Cultural Center is about a 1-hour drive from Honolulu to historic Laie Town and is the perfect place to spend the entire day with your family. Located on Oahu’s beautiful North Shore, the Polynesian Cultural Center is the only cultural tourist attraction of its kind in the world and a favorite of all visitors to Hawaii.
An engaging, interactive celebration showcasing the people, culture, arts and crafts of Polynesia, the Polynesian Cultural Center has entertained millions of visitors from around the world since opening in 1963.
A non-profit organization, 100 percent of its revenue goes to daily operations and to support the education of its student-employees from neighboring Brigham Young University-Hawaii. For more information, visit polynesia.com.

Bill Schnoebelen - Interview with an Ex - Vampire 1 of 9 - Multi-Language Ex Illuminati Ex Druid
There are rumors of a ritual that the illuminati partake in that involves the drinking of blood from a fallen angel. After-which, the person is killed and buried in a pyramid and then resurrected as a vampire. (or probably just imbued with a demon).
Apparently this is one of the main purposes for the construction of the pyramids (in addition to it being a powersource and factory for the production of monatomic gold).
A lot of you don't believe vampires exist, but that's only because Hollywood has fictionalized them so well. If vampires do exist, Bill is the guy who'd know.
Bill Schnoebelen was a high ranking Occultist, Mason, a Druid and heavily involved in witchcraft and satanism.
The reason you know he's on the right track is because he gets sooo trolled all the time. Everytime I post a video, the trolls come out of play.
Anyway, he talks of his experience of being converted into a vampire and the lifestyle therein. Not like the wannbe vampires who dress in black and hang out at Denny's. He's the only on who talks about it openly. Other's can't or they will be killed.
For those seeking truth, it's here.
