Wild Camping in the Lofoten Islands - Norway
Lofoten is a group of islands in the northern part of Norway. With its postcard-looking small fishing villages nestled in fjords, dotting a very rugged coast with abrupt peaks rising directly from the ocean, the archipelago is often described as one of the most scenic parts of Norway.
The Lofoten archipelago consists of many islands:
Hinnøya (southwestern part)
Austvågøy (southern part)
Gimsøy
Vestvågøy - Vestvågøy is a municipality and island in the county of Nordland in northern Norway. It has a population of 10,764 people, making it the most populated area in the regions of Lofoten and Vesterålen.
Flakstadøy
Moskenesøya
Værøy - a small island around six hours from Bodo by ferry (via Moskenes) and around 2 hours by ferry from Moskenes. The island has a mountainous ridge running through the centre and flat farmland below the mountains. It is famous both for its scenery and the abundance of puffins who nest here over the summer.
Røst
Several other smaller islands.

Sun on HURTIGRUTEN
Traveling SUN is a road trip and a site-spesific art project by IstadPacini ArtLab, 2012-2016
We want to bring light to the dark winter months in the north, meet people and share with the rest of the world the beauty of the unspoiled nature that is to be found in all of the Nordic countries
Distance: Oslo-Tromsø-Kirkenes-Bergen-London-Rjukan-Oslo-Reykjavik-Mi i Rana Norway = 12.755 km (7926 miles)
artubeart.blogspot.no
For those of us living in the north the sun or lack of it has an immense impact on our lives. The artists Christine Istad and Lisa Pacini started the project by bringing the SUN from Oslo to Tromsø as a gesture. To take the SUN on the road trip was an essential part of the work. By documenting the trip on our blog, we allow viewers to share the trip with us. Our aim with our art project is to bring light to the dark winter months in the north, meet people and share with the rest of the world the beauty of the unspoiled nature that is to be found in all of the Nordic countries.
The SUN is a circular light sculpture, 3 m in diameter, that shifts between a wide range of warm colors. To make the road trip, it was suspended above a flatbed trailer that was pulled by a flat bed truck. The generator that powers the SUN is in the back of the truck, allowing us to drive with the light on all the time. The SUN was mounted on the second floor façade of Tromsø Kunstforening on arrival the, where it was installed from November 2012 until the sun officially returns from the long winter on the 19th of January 2013. The SUN then travelled all along the Norwegian west coast with Hurtigruten, M/S Nordkapp, mounted on the top deck, on a eight-day voyage from Tromsø to Kirkenes and finally to Bergen, then to Rjukan the winter 2013-2014, Henie Onstad Art Center in Oslo winter 2014-2015 and The Nordic House Reykjavik, Iceland winter 2015-2016. The whole journey is documented and added to our blog and road movies. The Traveling SUN i s sold to the National Library in Mo i Ranat Nort of Norway through KORO.

Northern Norway
Northern Norway is the geographical region of Norway, consisting of the three northernmost counties Nordland, Troms and Finnmark, in total about 35% of the Norwegian mainland. Some of the largest towns in Northern Norway are Mo i Rana, Bodø, Narvik, Harstad, Tromsø and Alta. Northern Norway is often described as the land of the midnight sun and the land of the northern lights. Further north, halfway to the North Pole, is the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, traditionally not regarded as part of Northern Norway.
The region is multi-cultural, housing not just Norwegians but also the indigenous Sami people, Norwegian Finns and Russian populations. The Norwegian language dominates in most of the area; Sami speakers are mainly found inland and in some of the fjord areas of Nordland, Troms and particularly Finnmark – though ethnic Sámi who do not speak the language are found more or less everywhere in the region. Finnish is spoken in only a few communities in the east of Finnmark.

After leaving the park, the next place I visited was the National Gallery of Norway. The reason I found this place is to see the work of Norwegian painter Munch. In this exhibition room called Munch's room, there are a series of works called Freeze and various Munch's works such as scenery and portraits. Among them, many people are attracted to poisonous works, his famous work Scream. Munch says he painted this picture while listening to the gigantic screams of nature as he watched a burning glow during a walk with his friends. They seem to hear the screaming people stay in front of his work for a long time. It's a very famous painting. I was looking at his face here. These portraits sound like a big suggestion. I like this painter. So I like all portraits. Munch's work contains sickness and fear of childhood experiences and horrors, distorted forms and intense colors. And Munch 's idea of failing to believe in women due to the failure of subsequent love is contained in a series of works. Munch seems to have lived an unhappy life.
