Delicious KOREAN SEAFOOD FEAST at Noryangjin Fish Market, SEOUL, South Korea

Get ready for an EPIC KOREAN SEAFOOD FEAST at NORYANGJIN MARKET, Seoul’s famous fish market. Noryangjin is split into two areas- the new building and the old market. We explore the old market which is lined with seafood vendors selling all kinds of seafood. We purchase some fresh seafood: a baby octopus, a fresh fish and some sea pineapples.
We ask the fish vendor to prepare our fish- sashimi style as we want to eat it as hoe (raw fish). The vendor expertly slices up the fish and we then take the fish and other seafood to a restaurant which is located within the grounds of the market. Here they prepare the rest of the seafood and cook up the fish carcass as a spicy fish soup.
Such a delicious meal and a great experience!

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA - One of the best Korean food experiences in Seoul is to go to the fish market, buy a bunch of fresh live seafood, and have them cook it all up immediately at one of the restaurants upstairs. It doesn’t get more fresh and fun for eating Korean seafood in Seoul. We were a bit short on time, so we decided to do it for breakfast, and one of the best things is, the seafood market is open 24 hours a day! #KoreanFood #Seafood #Seoul
Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market - If you love seafood, this is the place you have to come when you’re in Seoul. Much of the seafood is even kept live and in tanks for water before it’s sold. The hardest part is knowing which stall at the market to buy your seafood from as there’s such a diversity and so many stalls.
Stall #17 - We walked around for a while until finding a very friendly lady who was at Stall #17 - I would highly recommend her, she’s fair and she’s really nice, and has great seafood. We shopped for a while, choosing a mix of seafood, and squirting sea squirts. All seafood - 113,000 KRW ($95.19)
Sashimi plate - 70,000 KRW ($58.97) - Just across from Stall #17 we also bought an impulse plate of sashimi.
Next, someone appeared and carried our seafood upstairs for us. After making a round, we chose a restaurant upstairs with traditional Korean food low tables and the ladies running the restaurant were very friendly. They made a variety of different dishes, cooked a few, and sliced and diced most raw onto plates. The benefit of sitting at a restaurant is that you get all the Korean food side dishes. The seafood was unbelievably fresh, from the live octopus (one of the delicacies of Korean food) to the multiple variations of sea squirts, spoon worms, and sea cucumbers. It was a meal of unique flavors and textures, and some seriously exotic seafood. Cooking and side dishes at restaurant for 6 people - 99,000 KRW ($83.40)

Noryangjin Fish Market - BEST Korean Seafood in Seoul, South Korea | Vlog 03 (Mark Wiens)
Hey guys,
This was Maye's dream come true! One of the best Korean food experiences in Seoul is to go to the Noryangjin fish market, buy a bunch of fresh live seafood, and have them cooked at one of the restaurants upstairs.
We took a 20 minute taxi ride to this place, which was worth the experience. We watch a lot of Mark Wiens travel vlogs & this was one of them. Maye loves seafood more than anyone & so we definitely had to come & visit.
As we were walking around, I remembered Mark also recommending a specific stall number which was stall #17! We went to the same exact one & they knew we were there because of Mark :)
Afterwards, we visited the Korean War Memorial. I don't usually vlog museums or any historic tours because you really have to be there in person to appreciate it!
I hope you guys enjoyed this mukbang video. Stay tuned for part 2 of this day because on the next video, we will be eating street food in the popular Myeongdong!
Don't forget to like, comment, & subscribe. Thank you for watching!

Fresh Seafood at Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul, South Korea
More travel and food - (click link)
While I was in Seoul, South Korea, I decided to spend a day wandering through the Noryangjin Fish Market.
Knowing little of what to expect before arriving, I was absolutely thrilled when as soon as I arrived and saw all the fresh seafood. Seafood after all is my absolute favorite thing in the world to eat!
The seafood market is huge, and just about everything from the se that you can imagine is available including things you may have never seen either. Sea squirts in particular are widely available at the Noryanjin market.
My favorite part about visiting the market in Seoul was going upstairs for lunch! There are a number of restaurants that will either cook fresh seafood that you have purchased, or they have an entire menu where you can order anything that looks good.
I just showed up at one of the restaurants and decided to order a seabass fish hot pot. It was wonderful, a fiery hot pot of spicy soup boiled with vegetables and kimchi. Of course, it was also served alongside the ever present Korean side dishes and rice.
If you ever visit Seoul, South Korea, I'd highly recommend taking time to visit the Noryangjin Fish Market - it was one of the coolest things I did while I was there!
Thank you for watching!

How to eat LIVE OCTOPUS like a Korean | Noryangjin Fish Market Seoul, South Korea
We explore more of Seoul and try LIVE OCTOPUS for the first time with some Seoul locals.
The day started off with breakfast at a popular restaurant in Myeongdong called ‘Sinseon Seolnongtang’ known for their ox bone soup.
We then head towards the historical Gyeongbokgung Palace where we rented Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) for a day. Definite must-do for first timers in Seoul; it was actually a fun and unique experience. Tip: You will receive free entry to all the palaces in Seoul when you are wearing a Hanbok. We also hired a photographer (Joy) through Airbnb experiences to help us take photos.
Lunch was at ‘Tosokchon Samgyetang’ which specialises in Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup. Also a well know spot in Seoul.
To end the night we explore the famous Noryangjin Fish Market with fellow Youtubers and Seoul locals - Aaron & Claire’s Korea!
We tried LIVE OCTOPUS (with sesame oil) and also a range of other seafood such as grilled prawns and fresh sashimi. Needless to say, we had an epic seafood feast!

Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul - vlog #023
Today we'll be visiting not a traditional market, but Noryangjin Fish Market 노량진 수산시장 in Seoul, South Korea! As a seafood lover, going to a fish market is possibly one of my most favorite things to do when I'm on vacation. There are multiple fish markets in Seoul, however Noryangjin is the biggest in the capital. Currently there are two sections of Noryangjin Fish Market, which has the old traditional style and the new building that offers a similar selection. However there's quite a bit of history to why there are two building here.
If you are a seafood lover, this place is definetly a must go in Seoul and remember to bring some old clothes, cash, and a empty stomach. This place has some of the freshest seafood and what's even better is that you can eat what you buy here! The seafood vendors partner up with restaurants so you can bring your purchase there and they will prepare it for you. I'm a big fan of trying out local dishes that I can only get in South Korea, so you can bet that I'll be trying out some more sannakji 산낙지, oysters, abalone, crab, and other types of seafood native to South Korea!

Visiting Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진수산시장) and eating Korean Food (회덮밥 - 초밥) in Seoul, Korea
Come join us as we visit Seoul's most famous fish market (Noryangjin Fish Market: 노량진수산시장) checking out all of the live fish, seafood and other marine products before settling down for a tasty Korean lunch where we delve eat raw fish in the form of HoeDeopBap (회덮밥) and ChoBap (초밥). Overall, our experience at the Noryangjin Fish Market was fantastic because we had the chance to immerse ourselves in the day-to-day operations of the market before sitting for a tasty Korean food in Seoul. It is a twenty-four hour market so you can visit anytime of day and if you'd like to see the live auction you'll need to be there at three in the morning to check out all of the action.

Visiting Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진수산시장) and eating Korean food (raw fish) in Seoul, Korea Travel Food Video:
Well good morning, good morning. For today's outing we are at the Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진수산시장). This is my first time here. This is one of the most famous markets in all of Seoul (서울). It is a fish market - a seafood market
So what can you tell us about the Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진수산시장) Sam?
Well it is a very fascinating market. Like first off it is massive. It is open 24 hours of the day. Wow. And get this if you want to go see the live auction you've got to be here at three in the morning. Hahaha. No way was that happening. Yeah. We're not quite the ambitious. And the market moves 250 to 300 tonnes of fish and I guess you could call it marine products daily.
My meal has arrived. Sam actually chose this because I had no clue what to get. But this is called Hoedeopbap (회덮밥) and it is basically rice with vegetables and raw fish on top. Um, the rice actually comes here on the side in this separate little bowl.
So what makes deopbap different from say bokkumbap which is the mixed rice is the deopbap you get like your ingredients and then you get your rice so they're not mixed together. They're not. So yeah, lots of veggies here. It looks like we got. Look at all of the sesame seeds. I know so many sesame seeds. Some cabbage, some carrots. Seaweed.
Try it with a little bit of rice. Try a bit of fish with some vegetables and rice.
Messy. Make sure you get your fish. It will probably be easier with chopsticks. Haha.
Trying to get vegetables as well. Yeah. Rice, fish, vegetables, sauce.
So your food is here now. Yeah my dish has now arrived. Yours came first. So I'm having chobap (초밥) which is the Korean sushi. So take a look down here. I have ten nicely displayed pieces. And as you can see you have of course the sushi kind of Korean chobap (초밥) appearance. It has got the rice and then the fish on top. So I'm just going to grab a piece. Yep. And let's take it for a dunk in the soy sauce. Take it for a swim.
It is good. This is a really. It is not. It is a chewy fish. It is not um. It doesn't disintegrate in your mouth. I'm really having to power through it. It is very light. I think we're both having the same fish. Yeah it is very light. It tastes good. And but as you said it is the kind of fish that it needs a strong sauce to go with it. Either the gochujang (고추장) or the soy sauce the kangjang.
We ate all of the fish. We ate all of the fish from the deopbap. So anyways in terms of price point the Hoedeopbap (회덮밥) was thirteen thousand Won (원) and the chobap (초밥) was fifteen thousand Won (원). So in total twenty eight thousand Won (원). That is ₩28,000 KRW.
So you're looking at about probably twenty four US dollars. So yeah, really not bad value when you consider that you know we had a seafood feast here. It wasn't just the dishes that we had. We also had a lot of different side dishes that included seafood and fish.
So overall it was a big meal and definitely stuffed. And if you can come and visit the Noryangjin Fish Market (노량진시장) it is an experience. You come and you walk around of course and you experience the market and then to come out and have food. It is definitely something we recommend doing in Seoul (서울).

MONSTER Seafood Feast????/ Noryangjin Market / Seoul, South Korea
Seoul Seafood Heaven!!!
Seoul seems to never disappoint! This was one of the craziest culinary experiences I have ever had as I indulged in an epic seafood feast.
I started the day at a restaurant that has made it through the years doing two things Kalguksu 칼국수 noodles and mandu 만두. I instantly fell in love with the kimchi mandu as they are sour and plum! The noodles were a burst of seafood flavor with thick slurpable noodles.
Next, I took it to the streets at Namdaemun 남대문시장 Market, the largest and oldest traditional market in Korea! While this market offers more than just food, it host a plethora of material goods with all kinds of street foods intertwined!
Lastly, I went to the Noryangjin market 노량진 수산시장 where I got the opportunity to hand pick and create a seafood feast that I will always remember. One of the craziest meals I have ever dined and enjoy.
A huge thank you to @mykoreaneats for his Seoul food knowledge that helped me be able to find some of these locations and increase my knowledge about korean food!
So much more to come from Seoul as there is so much to offer. I hope you all are as excited as I am!
