Nose Hill Park Spring in Calgary | Journey Alberta
In today's video, my friend Jesse and I go out into Nose Hill Park in Calgary during the spring. While there our goal is to head to where we built a small fort years ago to see what it looks like now. On our way we decide to also do some geocaching! How many will we find?

Nose Hill Park, Calgary
Here’s a really old video I’ve had unlisted on my channel since 2015! This was back when I first had started making videos, so you can see what my videos looked like then and now! My friend Jesse and I explore Nose Hill Park in Calgary. The park is located in the North West part of the city, easily visable from any map. The park is very large, and home to all sorts of wildlife such as porcupines, birds, deer, and coyotes. While in the park, Jesse and I explore of the main paths. We found part of a fort built by other people, and what appeared to be a geocache site at the same location. After checking out the fort, we wandered into a different section of trees. There we found lots of dead, fallen branches. Using those we made a fort of our own, and covered it in grass to disguise it better. The park is so much fun to explore, with there being lots of tepees throughout the park. I recommend everyone living in the city check it out.

Canada Largest URBAN PARK Nose Hill Park view from Calgary Downtown
Nose Hill Park is the third largest urban park in Canada and one of the largest urban parks in North America. It is a municipal park, unlike Fish Creek, which is a provincial park. Nose Hill Park is located in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is a natural environment park, commonly regarded as a retreat from city life and a place to enjoy nature.
Sensitive vegetation, terrain, and archaeological sites exist within the park. It contains a significant native rough fescue grassland ecosystem and over 66 native vascular plant species have been found on the hill including parry oat grass, prairie crocus, golden bean, bedstraw and sage.
Grasslands of this nature are considered endangered in North America because more than 95 percent have been lost to cultivation, tree encroachment, pollution, and development.[citation needed] The grassland is one of seven major native habitat types on the hill which together provide an excellent habitat for a variety of animals. Over 198 wildlife species have been identified on the hill.

Nose Hill Park Edgemont Entrance Exploring | Journey Alberta
I head out to the Edgemont entrance to Nose Hill Park with my Jesse in today's video. We attempt to find a couple of geocaches, but the highlight of the day is that I try something completely new in terms of making these videos. I give Jesse my GoPro camera to use and capture his experiences on, which may or may not have been a good idea!

Spring in Nose Hill Park 2016, Calgary (4K) | Journey Alberta
I explore the south eastern part of Nose Hill Park during the spring season of 2016. Once there I headed into a forested area, and made my way to the top of the hill where there was a small body of water. Although the water is no longer there, there was still much to be seen in the park, including a great view of downtown Calgary.

Calgary's Nose Hill Park
I'm at the SE side of Nose Hill park. Great location for walks, jogs and bike riding. Dog friendly place and is a huge urban park with a lot of native species present.
