NOTO, A small fishing village in Japan. 冬の能登半島外浦 輪島・門前
The center of the Japanese archipelago, Noto Peninsula is a part like a face when looking on the map.
It is out of the current sightseeing course because there is no railway and highway here.
However, here is the landscape beauty engraved with rough weather, and Japanese old houses that have not changed since long ago.
It's like a world heritage landscape, people have been living unchanged since long ago.
With declining population decades, the settlement may be gone.
Please visit us for sightseeing.
This is Ishikawa Prefecture where I am from.

Japan Train YOSHINO Rural Japan / January 2017
Yoshino is most famous for its proximity to Yoshino Mountain, famous for its many thousands of sakura trees; much poetry has been written on the subject by several famous authors, including Chiyo and Uejima Onitsura. These flowering cherry trees were planted in four groves at different altitudes, in part so that the trees would be visible coming into bloom at different times in the spring. An account of Yoshino written in about 1714 explained that, on their climb to the top, travelers would be able to enjoy the lower 1,000 cherry trees at the base, the middle 1,000 on the way, the upper 1,000 toward the top, and the 1,000 in the precincts of the inner shrine at the top.

Cab Ride on Japanese Tram Osaka City Hankai Tramway Uemachi Line
Hankai Uemachi Line is tramway line that links Tennoji-ekimae stop with Sumiyoshi stop. In this video, the tram started from Sumiyoshikoen stop. But the section from Sumiyoshikoen to Sumoyoshi was closed in January 31 2016. The Tennoji station is big station which has many lines. Now, Tennoji-ekimae stop is reconstructed, so street scene is different from Abeno stop to Tennojiekimae stop. The tram in this video is MO 701 for replacing old tram which was made by Tokyu Car Corporation in 1987. And, the first picture of video is MO 606 of the same shape which was renewed with some old tram parts that are controler and brake system etc. I took this video in October 2011.

Train Driver's View of Tokyu Setagaya Line series (Wakabayashi to Shoinjinjamae) Japanese Train
This is the train driver's view of Tokyu Setagaya Line 300 series. The view of this train is from Wakabayashi to Shoinjinjamae. Map is following.
A Japanese Steam Train. Hot. Filthy. AWESOME!
Driving a steam train is filthy work. It's hot and stressful and it doesn't even pay that well. And totally worth it...
Once there were over 1000 steam trains in Japan. Today there are just eight left. They’re extremely difficult to operate. The steam train is a fickle beast. To get it going in the morning you have to start feeding it a diet of wood and water two hours before you actually want to leave.
Steam trains used to carry coal and other raw materials. Nowadays their cargo is mostly tourists, though I think they’re missing out on the best part – riding up front.
You have to prime the accelerator several minutes before you need the power. If you let it get too hot then you either have to dump your precious steam or risk blowing the boiler up. And - you have to know the track. What’s coming next. How steep it is, and how much coal you’ll need to get your cargo to the top. It’s an endless balancing act.
It’s filthy work. So why do they do it? Because every day, when other people go to work, they get to climb on board and watch the countryside roll by aboard the world’s best toy – their very own, full-sized steam train.
