when you arrive Samet island you have to pay for 20 Baht for the port service (it's a rule)
When you walk out there will have TukTuk on the right side but if your hotel is on Sai Kaew Beach you can walk from the port to the hotel it is not far you can even walk from the port to Sai Kaew Beach.
When you walk to the Beach will have authorities standby in the front of entrance you have to buy ticket for Samet island (Thai people 40 Baht, Foriengers 200 Baht)
*Have a way to go on the left beside the authorities office (I've seen there are lots of people walk pass that way and don't have to pay beacause the authorities didn't see them)
There are too many beaches on Samet island in my opinion Phrao Beach is the best I hope you enjoy my video, Thank you for watching.

Motorcycle Taxi from Ban Phe Rayong Thailand to Marriott Rayong part 1
Hi, this is the first part of our short journey on a motorcycle / tricycle taxi from Ban Phe to the Marriott Rayong. It shows us leaving Ban Phe pier area on a very hot October afternoon.
It was a good way to travel, the lower speed and by not being in a car it allowed us to take more in of the scenery as we made our way along.
Traffic was quiet, the driver was pretty chilled and it was a great experience.

Koh Samet Part 1
This is the summary of our first of 3 days short getaway or bday getaway to Samed Island or known in thai as Koh Samet. “Koh” means “island” in english.
You have to go to Ekkamai bus terminal not far from Ekkamai Bts train station to be able to go to Ban Phe. My husband woke me up with a surprise happy bday song and a cake at 4am. We departed from our home via taxi at about 4.40am and arrived in Bus terminal at 5-5.30am. Taxi costed us 180 Baht. The first trip to Banphe starts at 7am. Unlucky for us we didn’t know and arrived there earlier and waited for about 1hr. The ticket we got in Ekkamai costs about 175 each more or less and they offered us a two way boat ticket from Banphe going to Nuanthip pier in Koh Samet and vise versa that costs 120 baht each so it’s 60 Baht one way. We took it for convenience sake but I think the boat only costs 40 Baht when you get it in the pier. The travel time from Bangkok to Banphe is roughly 4hours. It took 45mins from Banphe pier to Nuanthip pier in Koh Samet via wooden boat. By the way, you have an option to get a speedboat for a lesser travel time if you opt to but definitely more expensive than the wooden boat. The island has many other pier depending on where you are staying. In our case, ‘Nuanthip pier’ since we were staying near “Sai Kaew” beach which was one of the island’s most popular beach. They also have schedule for the boat departure, you may google it and again we waited for an hour since we arrived late about 11am something and the next boat to depart was at 12nn so expected to arrive in Koh samet by almost 1pm. You are obliged to pay 20 Baht entrance fee upon arrival to Koh Samet pier. We checked in to Sidewalk Boutique Hotel. This is a cheap hotel that actually looks like a hostel we booked via “agoda” with a value of about 700 per night with free yummy breakfast. We had our own toilet and a balcony. It was a decent airconditioned room since we usually go out most of the time and just go there to sleep. It is very accessible to most things like restaurants, motorbike rentals, pier, and about 450m walking distance to the beach. The things we planned to do on the first day was changed because we were already late. The first plan was to go on an island tour/island hopping which starts at 12nn. We did it on the second day instead and had ourselves rent a motorbike on the first day costing 300 Baht per day with free gasoline. You can also rent 100 baht per hour or 200 baht per 3hours. We tried to explore Koh Samet. You have to pay 200 Baht each when entering the national park that you will pass through before going to the beach as there are officers or park rangers around the entrance gate that will ask you if you are lucky. The 200-baht-blue-ticket that they will give as receipt is good for 3 days so you have to keep it with you all the time so you won’t have to pay again. Also, you will need it when you go to other islands during island tour. Otherwise, You’ll have to pay again. We tour around Koh Samet via motorbike and stopped over to whatever attracts us. We also went to the scenic view which was amazing and took photos and videos. The ray path of light from the sun going down to the sea appeared so glorious and glamorous. Lastly, we went to the tip of the island to stare at the sunset. They have the east and west side viewpoint. Both were very appealing and the view feels like you are in the mountains of New Zealand or in Batanes of Philippines. I love the swing on the eastside though. We had our dinner by the beach and planned to watch the fire dance but unfortunately it rained. The foods were expensive if you choose the restaurants by the beach. Thought of it as a bday treat just to not feel bad.???? We learned that on the next day so we ate on the restaurants along the streets from our hotel. We bought wine after dinner that served as our sleeping pill and just chill in our room. ????
