Numata Matsuri is a summer festival in Numata city in Gunma Prefecture where two giant Long-nosed Goblin (Tengu) shrines are carried about only by women. It takes place August 3-5.

Road trip | Numata - Gunma ☔️
Hi everyone,
It's been raining a lot in Tokyo lately this summer. I escaped Tokyo hot humid weather by going on a road trip to Numata (didn't escaped the rain though). I visited Tambara Lavender Park and Fukiware no Taki (falls) and stayed overnight at a beautiful Ryokan (Japanese Guest House). The Ryokan that we stayed at also give you an option to book with the inclusions of dinner and breakfast (half board included).
