I decided to checkout Numazu in Shizuoka, Japan on a day trip! Numazu is a port town, which is known for dried fish? Sounds exciting? huh!?
Numazu isn't too far from Odawara where I was staying, but about 3 hours normal train ride from Tokyo!
I mentioned about the Orange card they use here, but my iPhone decided to destroy itself near the end of the day..so I couldn't show how to use it. But if you use the Suica, then the train guards will help you out.

RaynVLOG - A trip to Uchiura in Numazu - Home of Love Live! Sunshine!!
So I was out of Hong Kong during the past week, to visit a small fishing village called Uchiura in a countryside city of Japan called Numazu. With no ulterior motive- oh who am I kidding, obviously it was to visit all the locations from Love Live Sunshine.
Uchiura and Numazu is such a beautiful town and city, with an amazing coastline (and also a view of Mt Fuji on a good day). My legs were completely dead by the end of the trip (and still are, I literally just landed last night), from all the cycling and running that was done there.
(Error: Each time 'Uchiura Bay' is mentioned, it is actually supposed to be just 'Uchiura'. 'Uchiura Bay' is someplace completely different. Whoops my bad.)
I should probably get a better vlogging camera, cuz this one has no stabilisation at all. But I'm too broke from buying stuff on this trip.

Day 1: Narita Airport (Tokyo) to Awashima Hotel (Uchiura)
Day 2: Exploring Awashima and Numazu city
Day 3: Exploring and cycling around Uchiura
Day 4: A bit more cycling around Uchiura in the morning, and back to Tokyo

Japan regional trip - Numazu fish market (2/3)
The fish auction at Numazu market is open to travellers from 5AM to 7AM almost everyday. You can watch the auction from the deck on the second floor in the fish market. There are many fish markets around the coast of Japan but Numazu fish market is one of the suitable place for travellers to watch fish auction. This fish market is designed to allow travellers to do sightseeing around. Numazu fish market is famous for fresh young sardine (shirasu) and tiny shrimp (sakura ebi shrimps).

I call this video as Cycling Route C as I was on my way back from Numazu Deepblue Aquarium to the Numazu Train Station. I am cycling along the beautiful Kano River facing towards a clear view of Mt. 【全編】沼津の種 2020年 楊原神社・大朝神社厳冬海中みそぎ祭り - Numazu Ablution Festival
▼楊原神社・大朝神社厳冬海中みそぎ祭り
沼津の「お宝100選」にもなっている牛臥山公園・小浜海岸で行われる伝統行事「厳冬海中みそぎ祭り」は、正月15日前後に行われ、神社から渡御した神輿が浜降りするご神事で、新成人ならびに厄払いの成人氏子が神輿を担いだまま海中でみそぎを行う勇壮な行事が見もの。
地元団体のしゃぎりの演奏も行われ、水かけ、もちまきなどには見学者も参加できる。甘酒のふるまいも嬉しい。真冬の海に繰り出す神輿は圧巻！

今回は、地元の人ですら知らない人が多い
「地域に潜むcoolなJapan」
「同じ日本に暮らす人たちの目にさえも新鮮にcoolに映るjapan」
そんな地域に根付いた文化を、
もっと沢山の方に知って頂きたく今回紹介させて頂きました。
「焼納祭」や「火渡り」はその荘厳さ、ビジュアルの美しさ、
サウンドの素晴らしさから、スゴく映像に残したい春の行事でした。
撮影している僕らも大変感動し、撮影後の編集中でさえもビジュアルの美しさに心打たれました。
前半の、「沼津港のまちバル」では、
沼津の名産で沼津では頻繁に目にする「干物」作りを実際に体験。
干物が完成するまでの過程を知り
こういう流れで作って行くんだ、
こんなにシンプルなんだという驚き、
港の活気、おいしい食べ物を実際に体験しました。
また市場ではいたるところで大道芸、音楽ライブなどが催され、街は活気に溢れていました。
一日中楽しめるステキな「バル」にスタッフもみんなも大満足でした。
