24 HOURS IN NUSA PENIDA
I only had enough time to spend 1 day on Nusa Penida, exploring Kelingking Beach, seeing some giant waves, and making a general mess of myself on a motorbike. It was a pretty incredible day off the coast of Bali and I don't regret a thing. Although, in hindsight, maybe I should have paid for a bike with shocks or a dirtbike, because that ride was brutal!

Nusa Penida | The Last Paradise On Earth #vlog3
Nusa Penida is an island southeast of Indonesia's island Bali and a district of Klungkung Regency that includes the neighboring small island of Nusa Lembongan. The Badung Strait separates the island and Bali. The interior of Nusa Penida is hilly with a maximum altitude of 524 meters. It is drier than the nearby island of Bali. There is very little tourist infrastructure.
If you want to go to Nusa Penida Island from Bali, the easiest and cheapest way, if you go from the capital, Denpasar is by getting to the Sanur beach and using some traditional public boat called 'jukung'. Jukung will cost you maximum around IDR. 40.000 and it will take around 90 minutes to reach Nusa Penida.
There's another option you can take if you go from Sanur. You can also take some speed boat which is a lot more expensive than jukung (could be IDR 50.000 more expensive) but also a lot more faster (50 minutes). If you want to travel with your own car/ motorbike to Nusa Penida (please noticed its only for Nusa Penida, not Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan) you can go Padang bay (on the east part of Bali,an hour drive from Denpasar) to take a ferry boat (Kapal Ro-Ro and Kapal Re-Re).
This boat will take you crossing the Badung Strait, and the trip will take around one hour to get to the Toya Pakeh Harbor in Nusa Penida Island. Beside from Padang Bay and Sanur, you can also take some jukung from Kusamba (cost you around Rp. 25.000).
I personally took a fast boat from Sanur to Nusa Panida and covered the entire journey, I hope you all will enjoy watching and plan soon to visit Bali, Indonesia.

Went to see the mantas, but ended up swimming with dolphins. Lot of cars compared 3 years back and lot of tourist and new tiny roads leading to the magical views!

Toyapakeh, Nusa Penida in 2016
A photographic collage of residents going about their daily life in the small seaside village of Toyapakeh, which lies on the north west corner of Nusa Penida island, Bali. The village is made up of a tight knit community which still maintain their customs and traditions.
This is Nusa Penida 2016. The words Toya Pakeh means salt water in Balinese. The village has its own fruit and vegetable market, a few places to eat and locally owned businesses supplying locals with goods.
It is also a travel hub, boats with food supplies disembark here daily from Nusa Lembongan which is only a ten minute boat ride away. Fast boats also carry passengers to and from Sanur and traditional boats travel across to Kusamba daily. Little has changed on the island which gives it that Bali 20 years ago feeling. Most visitors who come here regret not staying longer, it's that kind of place.

Nusa Penida is a beauty hidden Island which locate in Bali - Indonesia
Administratively, the island is a district of Klungkung regency. There are two small islands nearby: Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
There are many quiet and secluded white sand beaches along the north and northwest coasts of Nusa Penida. Other geographical highlights include limestone caves, spectacular high coastal cliffs with karst formations and offshore pinnacles in the south and east, and rugged hill tops in the high centre.
I am a Landscape Photographer form Nusa Penida (Bali), but I live in Kuta.
During my travel to explore my village, I shot a little video to documented my passion.

Diving at Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan Islands, Bali [HD]
Scuba diving around Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. These islands are located at the south-east of Bali (Indonesia) and both offer some truly exciting diving! In this HD film you'll see the following areas and dive sites:

The dive sites around Penida and Lembongan are one of the most populair dive sites in Bali, and for good reason! The underwater life is very diverse and you will find beautiful coral gardens. The visibility is normally very good.
Lembongan can be easily reached by a 30 minute fast boat trip that departs from Sanur. The island is not as crowded as Bali, in fact Lembongan is even pretty authentic and I hope it stays that way.
Besides diving, it is also nice to use a scooter to explore the islands. The Island Ceningan which lies between Penida and Lembongan is also very beautiful. And in the north-east of Lembongan there is a mangrove forest where you can make a nice trip in a traditional canoe. You will also see shots from this trip in the video.
Crystal Bay is a small inlet on the westernmost end of Nusa Penida with a wonderful array of soft corals and sheltered from the stronger currents outside the bay.
Toyapakeh is located at the entrance of the narrow channel between Penida and Nusa Lembongan Bali. The water is always very clear and the corals are beautiful!
Pura PED Point is located at the north of Nusa Penida. Its named after the temple on the shore of the Peed village, apart from that on this beach was put the concrete wall to protect the beach from erosion. The slope is bit steeper than SD Point, but with similar coral.
Mangrove Point lies in the North East of Nusa lembongan. It's named after it's location, it lies right at the Mangrove Area.
The Mangrove Forest can be found in the northeast corner of Nusa Lembongan. You can make tours here in a traditional dugout canoe.
Manta Point is probably one of the most populair dive sites around Nusa Penida. It can be found at the south-west of Nusa Penida. Quess what you kind find here...;)
Buyuk is a sloping reef at the nort east coast of Nusa Penida. The huge barrel sponges and long whip corals, are good indicators that strong currents are evident.
SD Point lies at the North Coast of Nusa Penida and is named after the primary school Sekolah Dasar that lies just opposite the dive site. Here you find large coral bommies and massive fields of branching coral, both hard and soft corals. This beautiful coral garden is home to a wide variety of fish.
Sental Point can be found on the North side of Nusa Penida. As well as the close-lying dive-sites Nusa Penida SD, Ped, Buyuk and Kutapang, Sental Point starts with a shallow reef ceiling which drops off at a 45° angle to extreme depths at 10 metres.
