We had a lot of fun making this short video that tells our story of how the three of us put our skills together to create 3 restaurants using only seasonal, sustainable and British produce and having a great time whilst doing it.

A farmer, a chef and a restaurateur form the talented 3 brother Gladwin partnership who have created restaurants that are an extension of their rural way of life back home in Sussex. Richard and Oliver believe in seasonal, sustainable cooking and using every part of an animal to make something delicious. They have put together a fantastic daily-changing menu of Sussex produce sourced from their youngest brother Gregory (whose roots are firmly planted in Nutbourne as a farmer) and other local suppliers. The wines are also supplied from their family vineyard.

16 Sept 2011. Back in the UUUk! Yay! My sweetie took me to Wavi to celebrate. Very sleek Japanese interior design, excellent service & fantastic food. Oh btw, the Sussex Nutbourne White wine is simply heavenly. Don't tell anyone, but it was a helluva lot better than many French wines!

Ambriel was founded in 2006 by couple Wendy and Charles Outhwaite, self-professed wine lovers with the dream of producing their own sparkling wine.

We caught up with winemaker Wendy Outhwaite at the vineyard - a southfacing site overlooking the sweeping South Downs in Nutbourne, a small village in West Sussex.

Within the shell of an old farm house, this stunning volume rises as example of modern farmhouse reconstruction possibilities. Working with a structure that was completely in ruin, Fernando Coelho Architects exemplary reconstructed and improved the structure brick by brick. This attention to details can be seen throughout the home known as RM House.

Adding an extra 200 square meters to the existing structure of the old farmhouse, architects increased the amount of indoor space and imagined the way the floor plan was to be used. They also beautifully construct a powerful link between new and old. Photographs by José Campos show us the RM House from different perspectives. Thanks to these images, we get a better feel of the space arrangement spreading over 540 square meters.

Born out of ruins and softly following the curves of the land, this farm reconstruction invited other to dream along the same lines. Seeing what a ruin might become and cleverly using the surroundings as advantages, architects designed a well lit structure that shelters the dreams of its inhabitants. Also, taking into account the owners’ lifestyle, the design follows a fluid line inside-out. Built with as little interference with the environment as possible, the RM House spreads over two floors.
