Magnificent Myanmar has to be seen to be believed, it is a journey to another world. Still relatively new to tourism, Myanmar (Burma) is yet to be discovered as the gem it is and travelling here is a delight. Filled with gilded pagodas, Buddha statues, beautiful scenery and more - in our books, Myanmar is a top destination.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A short video of the Nyaung U Market which is in Bagan near the airport in Myanmar (Burma). A fun and colourful local market with lots of fresh food and plenty of other goodies too.

Temples of Bagan & Lunch in Nyaung U Village Myanmar Video Travel Vlog
The main Bagan area of Myanmar (Burma) is made up of three locations these days, Old Bagan which as the largest concentration of temples but no-one lives, New Bagan which is where most of the larger and more expensive hotels are based, and where most foreigners will stay when they visit the Bagan temples, and last but not least Nyaung U village which is a small village which has cheaper places to stay and eat, and is just as close to the temples as New Bagan.
You can get around the area very easily either by renting an electric scooter, a bike or bicycle, and there are also horse and carts which will take you between the three locations.
I rented a bike on this occasion, and after spending some time exploring some of the Bagan temples I head in to the village Nyang U to find some lunch. Back out to the temples for sunset, always an amazing time to see the temples of Bagan, sunset and also sunrise. If you are here for a couple of nights then maybe go to one of the popular spots for sunset the first night, but on the second night find your own little sunset location.
I hope you are enjoying this Myanmar Travel Video series, I have had a wonderful time so far in Myanmar,

There are well over 2,000 pagodas, temples, and other religious structures in the Bagan area of Myanmar. One of the most famous is the Shwezigon Pagoda, located just a couple hundred meters away from my guest house in the small town of Nyaung U.
This was my first day in Bagan, and instead of renting an E-Bike (I do that the next day), I set off on foot just to get my bearings and explore some of the local streets and the banks of the Irrawaddy River.
Cheers,

A Real Taste Of Rural Myanmar ????????YANGON TO BAGAN
Leaving Yangon and taking a night bus to beautiful Bagan. We went during rainy season against everyone advice as everyone said it's always raining and you won't be able to see nor do anything, well we advice everyone to go during rainy season (when it's about to end) because the hotels are not crowded and are cheaper. With all of this said, in this video we walked around Nyaung-U the little village near Bagan where we stayed and found so many surprises... We gave belly rubs to pigs, we had a local putting tanaka in our faces, like we said many many surprises...

MYANMAR RIVER CRUISE ADVENTURE DAY 3 | BAGAN LOCAL MARKET | BASKET WEAVING VILLAGE | KARA AND NATE
Visiting Bagan’s largest open market where fresh produce, meats, fish, spices, woodcarvings, longyis, thanaka, and rattan products are sold every day. Enjoyed the hot tub in our room on the Irrawaddy Explorer. Went to the village of Hnaw Kone and enjoy our second leisurely walk of the day. Hnaw Kone is a typical, rural, river village with friendly residents and adorable children. During our exploration of the village we stopped to see the local handicraft of bamboo cane basket being weaved. We watched the villagers split bamboo and weave the strands into baskets or larger panels for building homes.
