Inishneer, County Galway, Ireland
The Western Ireland Island of Inishneer is a must see. It is just one of the three main Aran Islands. We took the ferry from Doolin to the island, but you can also ferry from Galway. We hired bikes and rode around the 3 mile or so island. There are great places to eat, drink, camp, stay in bed and breakfasts, ride in wagons, bikes. O'Brien's Castle is at the highest point, and I understood it to be the oldest ruins in Ireland(built in the 14th century) and you are free to climb all over it, inside it. The bike ride in this video starts out after we rode to the top of the hill, maybe 300 feet elevation, and pretty much coast downhill all the way to the other side to a shipwreck(cargo vessel Plassey) and on to the lighthouse. The video ends at O'Briens Castle. My son Ryan and I had a blast!

The incredible view I mentioned apparently didn't show up so well on camera, so I took a panorama shot and added it to the end of this video. Still doesn't completely do it justice, though :-(
There were some inconsistancies with the dating. Apparently the castle was actually built in the 14th century, not the 16th. My bad

OBriens Tower at the Cliffs of Moher
O'Brien's Tower was built in 1835 near the highest point of the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare in Ireland. It was built as a viewing point for tourists who were even then visiting the Cliffs. In effect it was the first visitor centre.

It was a visually stunning day, if not a bit windy! I tried to capture the sound of the accordion player in the background, but the wind gets loud at points. Might want to turn down your speakers ...

Cliffs of Moher
A short and simple story of our evening coastal walk around Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. It brings many good memories because we could experience the real power of nature and be there completely alone. We owned the Cliffs of Moher for few hours just for ourselves. It was as magical as it sounds. You need to go there. Like now.

Galway and Cliffs of Moher
Galway, a harbour city on Ireland’s west coast, sits where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s hub is 18th-century Eyre Square, a popular meeting spot surrounded by shops and traditional pubs that often offer live Irish folk music. Nearby, stone-clad cafes, boutiques and art galleries line the winding lanes of the Latin Quarter, which retains portions of the medieval city walls.
The Cliffs of Moher (/ˈmoʊ(h)ər/; Irish: Aillte an Mhothair)[1] are sea cliffs located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare, Ireland.[2][3] They run for about 14 kilometres (9 miles). At their southern end, they rise 120 metres (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and, 8 kilometres (5 miles) to the north, they reach their maximum height of 214 metres (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower,[4] a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs, built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien,[2][5] then continue at lower heights. The closest settlements are the villages of Liscannor 6 km (4 miles) to the south, and Doolin 7 km (4 miles) to the north.

Cliffs of Moher in Ireland [in 4k/1080 HD High Quality] by StanPhang©2017
During my recent road-trip in Ireland, one stop I must make is to The Cliffs of Moher which is located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region in County Clare, Ireland. The cliffs are rise 120 metres (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and, 8KM to the north, reach their maximum height of 214M (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, which is a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs that was built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien.
Where is the name coming from? Well, the cliffs take their name from an old promontory fort called Mothar or Moher, which once stood on Hag's Head, the southernmost point of the cliffs, now the site of Moher Tower.
It was a clear and sunny day when I shot this video. I was lucky to get one of the best days here in Cliffs of Moher despite Ireland is well known for their cloudy/rainy day.
