Birdwatching at O'Reilly's
There is an abundant array of flora and fauna on your doorstep at O’Reilly’s, so if you’re an avid bird watcher or someone who is just curious about our feathered friends a visit to O’Reilly’s should be on your bucket list. All year round there is so much wildlife to see, with over 200 species residing in World Heritage-listed rainforests of Lamington National Park. The early generations of O’Reilly’s were fascinated by bird life of Lamington National Park, as Bernard writes about in his book, Green Mountains. We look forward to welcoming you to O’Reilly’s at our bird week events or on our daily guided bird walks.

Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk - Day 3
There's nothing like having a big finish, right? Well Day 3 (final day) of the Gold Coast Hinterland Walk wakes you up quickly with a breathless ascent up in Springbrook National Park. Fresh water swims, wonderful waterfalls and (gently) entering civilisation again.
If you think that Australia's Gold Coast is all about glitzy sky scraper hotels, lining beaches, casinos and shopping... then I've got great news for you! The Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk is a lush 3 day walk stretching 54kms from O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park to Springbrook National Park, via Binna Burra Rainforest Lodge.
I hitted the track (courtesy of Gold Coast Tourism, O'Reillys Rainforest Retreat and BinnaBurra Lodge) with my good buddy Jen P Pen and fulfilled a dream for 2017 by doing more walks in QLD. I hope you like it too!

FAIR WARNING:
If you don't own a 4X4 please be super careful on the road to O'Reilly's. I own a Mazda 2 (2011 Neo Series) and I encountered a lot of one ways on the mountains edge and some rough dirt roads.
There is so much to explore down near the Gold Coast and if you're a family, group of friends, couple, single solo traveler or with a friend - O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat needs to be added to the to-do list! Make sure to bring some extra coins to donate to the continuing servicing of the gorgeous Mountain Gardens, Tree Top Walk and to feed some of their local Rosella and wild turkeys on site (only $4). Also for all of those travelling Coolangatta way this school holidays make sure to check out the bungee trampoline set up by the beach. It's only $10 to do a back flip with the sound of the ocean behind you and the gorgeous views of Coolie around you.
Camping at O'Reilly's Green Mountains
Finally back to some adventure videos, albeit this ones from about 6 weeks ago.
Inspired to visit O'Reillys after reading Green Mountains a few years ago, I wasn't disappointed. The amount of wildlife compared to The Blue Mountains was incredible.

Coomera Falls in Lamington National Park | Brisbane, Australia
Commera Falls walk in the Lamington National Park near Brisbane, Australia. Got myself soaked in rain but it was totally worth it!
As I arrived in Brisbane, Australia I found out that the weather wasn't very good as it was raining in Brisbane. I was not happy because I was hoping to come here has been very long time so not being happy with the rain I rented a car with a plan to go search for waterfalls outside of Brisbane.
I found out that the Lamington National Park has a couple of places with waterfalls where you can take beautiful pictures so I drove there near a waterfall called Coomera.
As I arrive at the place I fount out that I had to hike about 5 kilometers just to get to the Coomera falls and as it was not raining I did. The lamington National Park is beautiful and worth a visit, lots of green and its a rainforest where you can listen to lots of birds and even find wild kangaroos.
After hiking for about 5 kilometers I got to the Coomera falls in the Lamington National Park and these waterfalls are beautiful. I took lots of pictures and after a while was time for me to come back up to the car.
What I realized was that I had been walking all the way down the mountain to see the Coomera falls and now I had to go all the way back up and as soon as I started walking it started raining a lot. I got completely soaked but it was a fun walk all the way up in the middle of the Lamington National park.
If you are around Brisbane and you don't know what to do in Brisbane or you have many other things to do in Brisbane, try to get some time and visit these waterfalls in the Lamington National Park. The coomerafalls walk in the Lamington National Park are worth it.

Theme Park Rides on the Gold Coast OZ
Family Holiday`s with the kids
The Gold Coast Australia, a true gem in Queensland tourism holiday destination portfolio. So what makes the Gold Coast so special? Well let me see could it be kilometres of sun drenched beaches, or could it be the magnificent hinterland regions of Tamborine Mountain and Springbrook? or maybe the vibrant nightlife for all the party goers, but then again it might just be the fabulous theme parks for the young at heart.
Just mention the Gold Coast and the imagination starts to visualise images of stunning surfing and swimming beaches, the exciting Gold Coast theme parks including Dreamworld, Sea World, Movie World, Wet n Wild or Australian Outback Spectacular, sophisticated style, cosmopolitan dining, great shopping and the list continues. It's a place where you can let loose but still feel free, The Gold Coast truly offers something for everyone: if beaches and an exciting night life aren't your thing, you can always explore the Hinterland regions of Tamborine Mountain.
And with so many great accommodation options on offer for the whole family you can find a Gold Coast hotel, resort or apartment with ease and with so many great properties you can always secure a great deal on Gold Coast Accommodation all year round.
Surfers Paradise is ideal for the younger generations whilst most families tend to choose to stay in Broadbaeach, Burleigh Heads or even Coolangatta. These days Coolangatta offers some really nice family resorts to choose from.
If you are looking for a romantic place to stay head up the mountain to Lisson Grove or the Castle on Tamborine. The Castle on Tamborine is an authentic replica of a true castle with two resident wings separated by a day spa. The Castle on Tamborine is rated as Tambourine Mountains finest luxury accommodation and it is not hard to see why both Castles feature indoor heated plunge pools, fire places, surround sound cinemas, and fully self contained quarters fit for any King and his Queen.
Another fabulous place to visit and stay is O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat and Day Spa a true hinteralnd retreat. O'Reilly's is famous for Bird Watching, bushwalking and hinterland weddings as well a the perfect location to relax unwind and recover form the day to day hectic pace we all fall victim to so often. Located at Lamington National Park you can get there via Canungra.
