OCT EAST THEME PARK || TEA STREAM VALLEY || Shenzhen, CHINA
Overseas Chinese Town East (OCT East)- is a large ecological resort, brimming with a natural landscape, small towns of western and oriental styles, and entertainment facilities.
It has three themed parks: Knight Valley, Tea Stream Valley, and Wind Valley.
You can also pay homage to Buddhist statues at Huaxing Temple. There are also wonderful performances played in the resort every day. The most famous ones are Heavenly Zen, a dancing performance revealing the Chinese tea culture, and Roaring Flood, a live-action stunt show.

Шэньчжэнь Китай OCT East Shenzhen
OCT East is a theme park that was opened in summer of 2007, but it's a bit hard to place it into a certain category. OCT is one of the biggest real estate companies in Shenzhen. They somehow managed to buy an area of about 9 square kilometres in the east of Shenzhen, close to DaMeiSha beach. The main attractions are the three major theme parks: Knight Valley, Tea Stream Valley and Wind Valley. There are lots of houses built in Swiss style, there is a tea area and there are performances during certain times of the day. There is also a huge golf course, hotels and real estate.

Xi Cheng
Design/Completion: 2004/ongoing
Location: Shenzhen, China
Client: China Merchants Real Estate Ltd.; Shenzhen OCT Real Estate Ltd.
Size: 568 acres/230 hectares
The residential/mixed-use development of Xi Cheng -- which loosely translates to Dawn of a New City -- exudes elegant tranquility and style. Tucked against the base of majestic Jiang Gang Shan Mountain, Xi Cheng's dramatic location -- near downtown Shenzhen and surrounded by hills and scenic vistas -- resonates with urban convenience and comfortable community living. Pocket parks, green space and water emphasize the organic nature of the master plan. The layout flows with the existing topography; a natural progression of spaces adds to a sense of discovery. Conceptual axis elements bisect the site, forming intuitive connections between thematic and topographical highlights. White stucco, stone, and clay tile materials recall Spanish and Italian design themes.
Xi Cheng is composed of three interconnected areas. Buena Vista, a residential neighborhood, features townhomes and villas around a central hill park and community pool. A surrounding waterway encompasses Buena Vista, while a feature fountain to the south adds visibility from the roadway beyond. Water elements spill into the linear park anchoring the northern component, which features detached and semi-detached villas. The third parcel, Las Terrazas, is a 50,000-square-meter mixed-use area to the northwest with restaurants, shops, serviced residential units, a clubhouse, community arts building and a kindergarten.

Shenzhen (/ˈʃɛnˈdʒɛn/; Chinese: 深圳; Mandarin pronunciation: [ʂə́n.ʈʂə̂n] (About this soundlisten)) is a major city in the Chinese province of Guangdong; it forms part of the Pearl River Delta megalopolis, bordering Hong Kong to the south, Huizhou to the northeast, and Dongguan to the northwest. It holds sub-provincial administrative status, with powers slightly less than those of a province.
Shenzhen's cityscape results from its vibrant economy - made possible by rapid foreign investment following the institution of the policy of reform and opening-up in 1979. The city is a leading global technology hub, dubbed by media as the next Silicon Valley and China's Silicon Valley. It was one of the fastest-growing cities in the world in the 1990s and the 2000s, and has been ranked second on the list top 10 cities to visit in 2019 by Lonely Planet.
Shenzhen, which roughly follows the administrative boundaries of Bao'an County, officially became a city in 1979, taking its name from the former county town, whose train station was the last stop on the Mainland Chinese section of the railway between Canton and Kowloon.
In 1980, Shenzhen was established as China's first special economic zone. Shenzhen's registered population as of 2017 was estimated at 12,905,000.[1] However, local police and authorities estimate the actual population to be about 20 million, due to large populations of short-term residents, unregistered floating migrants, part-time residents, commuters, visitors, as well as other temporary residents.
Shenzhen hosts the Shenzhen Stock Exchange as well as the headquarters of numerous multinational companies such as JXD, Vanke, Hytera, CIMC, SF Express, Shenzhen Airlines, Nepstar, Hasee, Ping An Bank, Ping An Insurance, China Merchants Bank, Tencent, ZTE, Huawei, DJI and BYD. Shenzhen ranks 14th in the 2019 Global Financial Centres Index. It has one of the busiest container ports in the world.
