Oasler Lake Provincial Park following storm with tornado winds
Oasler Lake Provincial Park near Parry Sound, ON experienced a tornado like storm that swept through their property dropping trees and damaging campers tents and trailers. Fortunately, there was no loss of life, instead there was a community of campers calling out to each other to see if everyone was ok and checking to see what they could do to help one another. A camping experience that non of us want, but grateful it will opening again soon. It is a beautiful spot in Northern Ontario, one that will be enjoyed again this summer.
iSparks Solutions captured this video when the park was closed.

Slithering Friends of Oastler Lake
These brown water snakes have been visiting/living in my boat for a few years now. Sometimes they visit in great numbers. Today, it was only Burt and Ernie (I had to name them since I spend so much quality time with them). Burt has an attitude and often stares up at me with disdain as I discourage his afternoon naps.

Visiting Killbear Provincial Park in the Winter
we visited Killbear Provincial Park on February 14, 2015. There was lots of snow, the Georgian Bay area around the park was frozen, so we were able to walk out onto the water, making our way to Scott Island. We used snowshoes to trudge through the park itself as the snow was crazy deep!
