A very nice live performance/presentation of the Oasys (minihollywood) for the participants of the 10th European meeting on Solar Chemistry and Photocatalysis: Environmental Applications (SPEA10), held in Almería, Spain, on June 4th – 8th 2018.
asys (before known as Mini Hollywood) is a Spanish Western-styled theme park, located off the 364 km mark of the N-340 road, near the town of Tabernas in the province of Almería, Andalusia. Originally known as Yucca City, the set was designed by Carlo Simi and built for Sergio Leone's For a Few Dollars More in 1965. It was also used as a set for other films, such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). After filming of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was completed, the extras in the project bought the set and ran it as a tourist attraction. They were later bought out by a hotel group. The park features daily cowboy stunt shows, such as a mock bank raid and a re-enactment of the final moments of Jesse James. It also has a swimming complex, abandoned gold mine, Cowboy style saloon, a Fun Barn for children's activities, a zoo with birds and big cats in cages and many mock western stores.

This was the Hollywood film paradise for two intense decades, the 60’s and 70’s. For its scenes have walked illustrious actors such as Clint Eastwood, Brigitte Bardot, Anthony Quinn, Claudia Cardinale, Alain Delon, Sean Connery, Raquel Welch, Orson Welles… The Tabernas desert has unique, beautiful and enigmatic landscapes that recreate scenes from legendary movies of the cinema history, such as Lawrence of Arabia, Cleopatra, The good the bad and the ugly, Death had a price or Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

Oasys / Mini Hollywood in Tabernas (Almería), the only desert in Europe
Oasys aka Mini Hollywood in Tabernas (in the Spanish province of Almería), situated in the only desert of Europe, is a cowboy village built as a film set to record many films in the 60's and 70's. Although sometimes they are still filming nowadays it's a theme park with shows and a zoo that you can enjoy with the whole family.

Si vous allez en Andalousie et plus particulièrement dans le désert de Tarbernas, il faut absolument prévoir une journée à l’Oasys (anciennement connu sous le nom de Mini Hollywood ) qui est un parc à thèmes de style Western.
Ses paysages uniques et extraordinaires ont servi de toile de fond à des films légendaires tels que «Le bon, le mauvais et le vilain», «Une poignée de dollars», «Pour quelques dollars de plus»…
Le parc comporte deux spectacles quotidiens de cowboys (un le matin et l’autre en fin d’après-midi) avec des cascadeurs, vous allez vous prendre pour un réalisateur de films ou un acteur
Il a également un superbe salon de style Cowboy, une banque, des anciennes boutiques, une mine et quelques magasins.
En bref, nous y étions sans enfant, et nous avons quand même passé une très bonne journée (il faut aussi voir le spectacle des perroquets), par contre le zoo est franchement moyen et à réserver qu’aux tout petits.

In short, we were childless, and we still had a good day (we must also see the parrot show), against the zoo is frankly average and book only children.

Si vas a Andalucía y especialmente en el desierto de Tabernas, asegúrese de reservar un día a Oasys (anteriormente conocido como Mini Hollywood), que es un parque temático al estilo occidental.
Sus paisajes únicos y extraordinarios han servido de escenario a películas legendarias como El bueno, el feo y el malo, un puñado de dólares, Por unos pocos dólares más» ...
El parque cuenta con dos shows vaqueros diarias (una por la mañana y otra por la tarde) con los dobles, usted se toma para un director o actor
También cuenta con un gran salón de estilo vaquero, banco, tiendas antiguas, una mina y algunas tiendas.
En resumen, estuvimos allí sin hijos, y todavía tenía un gran día (también ver el espectáculo de loros), por contra el zoológico es francamente medio de reserva como los niños pequeños.
Disfrutar y buen espectáculo.
