Obuchi Sasaba is one of the most famous green tea fields in the world. Thanks to its unique scenery, Obuchi Sasaba attracts millions of visitors every year and also happens to be the location of choice for many TV, movie, and the advertising crews. Indeed, with its gorgeous tea fields, it’s gentle hills and gorgeous views of Mt. Fuji, it is hard to find a prettier spot anywhere else in Japan. Because of its popularity, we would recommend you visit as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Note that it is not always easy to get both lush green tea leaves and a snow-capped Mt. Fuji and if this is exactly what you are aiming for, make sure to visit the area during or just after the Sakura season around the area, which takes place mid-April.

It is such a pleasure to discover such a remarkable Mount Fuji in the distance after a pleasant climb. People who know Obuchi Sasaba in Fuji City insist this is a view not to be missed. Stand among the vast tea fields looked upon by Mount Fuji!
富士山はその美しい姿が特徴で、登る楽しみと遠くから眺める楽しみがあります。富士市にある大淵笹場は知る人ぞ知る絶景スポット。どこまでも広がる茶畑の中に立ち、そこから望む富士山を写真に収めましょう。
OUR FAVORITE SPOT IN JAPAN | TEA FIELDS in SHIZUOKA 大渕笹場 (静岡県)
Today we explored a few of the most beautiful spots in Japan located in Fujinomiya city in Shizuoka prefecture. Our first stop were the Shiraito falls which are listed as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Japan. After that we went to Obuchi Sasaba (tea fields) near mt. Fuji, which was a 30min drive from the Shiraito falls & the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen in Japan (I just couldn't believe my eyes ! It was sooo beautiful !).

Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha - Shizuoka - 富士山本宮浅間大社 - 4K Ultra HD
Located in the southwestern foothills of Mount Fuji in the city Fujinomiya, Fujisan Sengen Shrine a regionally important shrine and head shrine of over 1300 Sengen and Asama shrines across Japan. Originally built over a millennium ago for the protection against a volcanic eruption, the Fujisan Sengen Shrine is also one of the traditional starting points to climb Mt. Fuji. While being one of Japan's oldest shrines, the Fujisan Sengen Shrine has suffered from many natural disasters and all that remains intact today is its unique two-story inner shrine construction as well as its outer shrine buildings and tower gate.
Alongside its heavy cultural and spiritual heritage the Fujisan Sengen Shrine also offers a beautiful sakura festival thanks to its 500 cherry trees usually blooming around late March to early April.

富士山と茶畑（大淵笹場） Mt. Fuji and Green Tea fields SHIZUOKA【4K】
富士山と茶畑の絶景を見るために静岡県富士市大淵笹場に行ってきました（2019年4月28日）。
大淵笹場は、富士山と茶畑を見ることができる絶景スポット。電線の入らない茶畑の撮影ポイントとして人気があります。駐車場やトイレが整備されています。
早朝6:30頃到着しましたが、多くの観光客やカメラマンが訪れていました。
例年、4月下旬から5月上旬が一番の見頃ですが、今年は天候の影響なのかお茶の新芽が出るのが少し遅れている感じがしました。

Mount Fuji Spring 富士山の春 Japan [4K]
Mount Fuji (富士山, Fujisan), with 3776 meters is Japan's highest mountain. It is an active volcano most recently erupted in 1707. It stands on the border between Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures and can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days. That is why so many people refer to Tokyo as where Mount Fuji is located.
Sinkansens from Tokyo in the direction of Nagoya, Kyoto and Osaka, have the best views of the mountain around Shin-Fuji Station on the right hand side of the train, about 40-45 minutes into the journey.
But beware of a cloudy day as poor visibility often blocks the view of Mount Fuji, and you have to consider yourself lucky if you get a clear view of the mountain. Visibility tends to be better during the colder seasons.
Luckily the weather was perfectly clear on the two occasions I filmed the beautiful mountain at Lake Kawaguchi (my earlier video published in March called Mount Fuji Sunset and this one published in May the next day after I filmed it, as I couldn't wait any longer to see the result !).
