We took a ride to Rock Sound, which in the local vernacular is- We went up south to the Ocean Hole and feed the fish even though it's down from Governor's Harbour. Next time I'll have a swim and be swimming with the fishes.

Ocean Hole Time Lapse Video - In Rock Sound, Eleuthera, The Bahamas
This is my first attempt at shooting time lapse photography of the starry night sky.
The scene I chose is the famous Ocean Hole Park in Rock Sound, Eleuthera. During the summer, we take the mission teams here too swim and jump off the cliffs. But at night, it's a whole different story.
I went to the Ocean Hole at 10 pm and spent approximately 3 hours shooting the stars - I got about 250 pictures. I shot with a 10mm lens, f4.5, 25 sec. exposure, and 25 second intervals (for the photography people). If I could go back, I might try only 10 or 15 second intervals between shots - maybe to get a slower or a bit smoother motion.
It was a fun adventure, and I am excited to see parts of Eleuthera in a different light. In the future, I'm looking forward to shooting different Eleutheran landmarks at night.
Full Disclosure - Production condensed 3 hours of photography into just 6 seconds of time lapse video. Since that is a SUPER short video, I looped it 3 times in a row. I don't think it's being dishonest, I just wanted to watch it for longer. Anyway, if you're like, Hey, that's looped. This is a looped video Then you're absolutely right. Enjoy!

Janis and I are on our 5th day in Eleuthera. We spent the morning eating bread/cinnamon roles at Island Farm.
From there we took one last trip to Queen of Tarts in Savanna Sound. Janis finally got her tarts!
Then we went to Rock Sound to see the Ocean Hole, topped off with the traditional Friday Night Fish Fry in Governor's Harbour.
The next day we will pack-up and fly along the Exuma chain to Staniel Cay!

Princess Cays is a private beach area of the island of Eleuthera on the Bahamas. The private area offers a gorgeous beach, a stingray beach encounter area, food, an area for children, snorkelling and so much more! We left the private area to see more of the beautiful island including Cathedral Cave and its many species of bat, The Boiling Hole, The Blue Hole with several species of fish and Tarpum Bay, a village with perhaps the best views on Earth!

The Coolest Blue Hole IN THE WORLD? Hoffmann's Cay, Bahamas
Hoffmann's Cay Blue Hole is probably one of the coolest Blue Holes in the world!! This blue hole is in the Berry Islands in the Bahamas and we spent the day hanging in the shade of the cave, jumping off the small cliff, and even diving with a turtle!! This blue hole is salt water and had a bunch of other small fish swimming around. Check out the first time we visited this blue hole here

Crabbing, Rock Sound, Eleuthera Bahamas
During our sailing adventure in one of the top cruising destinations, The Bahamas, Travis and Dave delightfully entertain us as they catch their first Channel Clinging Crab while spearfishing and snorkeling in Rock Sound, Eleuthera Bahamas. Rock Sound is a quaint little Cay with just enough to offer the cruiser. It is a beautiful and remote location with a lot of Bahamian culture, but not widespread tourism. We spearfished and caught crab in the rocks right off of the anchorage with our sailboats in sight.
