The domesticated island of Hulhumale’ set 8km off the North East coast of Male’, the capital of Maldives is 6.5km away from Velana International airport, Hulhule’. A causeway joins the 2.4km long and 1km wide Hulhumale’ to the airport island.

Hulhumale’ is applauded for its transit hotels. Atoll Seven Inn in Hulhumale’ comforts budget travelers due to its unbeatable prices with excellent service. Hotel ocean grand with its incredible facilities, rooms and view has outgoing staff and proposes free transfer to the airport. All guest houses have wifi.

Secret paradise, dune Maldives diving centre, cruise Maldives, ocean junkies dive centre, blue horizon, oasis dive club Maldives and scuba centre Maldives are among places in Hulhumale’ for adrenaline seekers to try a variety of water sports. Photographers and people trying to capture memories can try that one street filled with trees.
The flood-resistant lanes in Hulhumale’ are straight, open and wide. Hulhule’ International Hotel, HIH standing on the walkway splitting Hulhumale’ and Hulhule’ airport is the only hotel near Male’ serving alcohol apart from resorts.

Diving the Maldives

In June 2017, we embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Maldives. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. We completed 23 dives over 10 days.

Our trip began with three days of diving around the Biyadoo Island reef and surrounding dive sites. A highlight was Kandooma Thila, where we saw numerous sharks, eagle rays, and a school of mobula's.

We then traveled on to Hulhumale to meet the team at ScubaSpa. What followed was an incredible eight days, seven nights of amazement.

This video takes you on our trip exploring the magic of the Maldives.

Note: My camera was not harmed when the turtle in the video attempted to bite it (towards end of video).

All footage was captured and edited by myself (Jake Rooney) on my GoPro Hero4 Silver. Video features the song Summer by Marshmello.

An epic diving in Komodo National Park

Komodo National Park is a magnificent place for scuba diving lovers with a healthy coral reef and rich underworld life. We got to experience encounters with turtles, dolphins, barracuda, cuttlefish, rays, clownfish and many different coral reef fishes.
