Ducktown TN shooting and robbery

A suspect is on the run after a shooting and robbery in Polk County.

Officials say it happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday near Highway 64 between Ducktown and the North Carolina line.

The man reportedly fired one shot at the store owner, who was in his 40s.

The victim was taken to Erlanger for a life threatening wound.

The suspect fled in a red Honda and is described as a tall white man, around 25 years old with short, dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call - the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
