Death Confirmed in Bradley Co. Double Shooting
A bizarre, deadly shooting incident is under investigation in Bradley County. The incident left one man dead and his girlfriend fighting for her life.
It happened at 3248 Spring Place Road SE. Investigators tell us Cody Tatum, 28, died of a single gunshot.Tatum's older brother Cole Tatum said the shot was in the shoulder area while the same bullet went through his girlfriend, Wendy Gasparian, but she's still alive.
Arthur Houts owns a nursery off Spring Place Road and lives about 200 feet from Cody Tatum's mobile home. He was sitting on his couch inside his greenhouse last night when something startled him. I was sitting on my couch right here and I heard one gunshot and it freaked me out, Houts said.
Then something else grabbed his attention. Then I heard a car speed off real quick out of here. Then about five minutes later, here comes all the E. M. S. What a tragedy.
Gasparian was flown by LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center. Meanwhile, Tatum worked at Ocoee Winery and had lived at his mobile home for about a year and a half. His landlord, Chester Moore, described him as an ideal tenant. Moore said, He's always been perfect pay. Never had any problem out of him at all. Very sad what happened, I hated to see him go.
A sentiment shared by Houts, who fought back tears as he remembered his good friend. He wa

American cuisine reflects the history of the United States, blending the culinary contributions of various groups of people from around the world, including indigenous American Indians, African Americans, Asians, Europeans, Pacific Islanders, and South Americans. Early Native Americans utilized a number of cooking methods in early American Cuisine that have been blended with early European cooking methods to form the basis of American cuisine. The European settlement of the Americas yielded the introduction of a number of various ingredients, spices, herbs, and cooking styles to the latter. The various styles continued expanding well into the 19th and 20th centuries, proportional to the influx of immigrants from many different nations; this influx nurtured a rich diversity in food preparation throughout the country.
When the colonists came to the colonies, they farmed animals for clothing and meat in a similar fashion to what they had done in Europe. They had cuisine similar to their previous Dutch and British cuisines. The American colonial diet varied depending on the settled region in which someone lived. Commonly hunted game included deer, bear, buffalo, and wild turkey. A number of fats and oils made from animals served to cook much of the colonial foods. Prior to the Revolution, New Englanders consumed large quantities of rum and beer, as maritime trade provided them relatively easy access to the goods needed to produce these items: rum was the distilled spirit of choice, as the main ingredient, molasses, was readily available from trade with the West Indies. In comparison to the northern colonies, the southern colonies were quite diverse in their agricultural diet.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, Americans developed many new foods. During the Progressive Era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, c. 1890s–1920s, food production and presentation became more industrialized. One characteristic of American cooking is the fusion of multiple ethnic or regional approaches into completely new cooking styles. A wave of celebrity chefs began with Julia Child and Graham Kerr in the 1970s, with many more following after the rise of cable channels, such as the Food Network and Cooking Channel, in the late 20th century.

Parliament Funkadelic - Give Up The Funk - Mothership Connection Houston 1976
It was Halloween night and Parliament Funkadelic was about to tear the roof off the
Houston Summit, ready to bless the crowd with their cosmic brew of interplanetary
funk. George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins and the rest of the P-Funk
collective were riding the success of their first Top 5 R&B hit, Give Up The Funk (Tear
The Roof Off The Sucker), a track that had earned them the kind of radio play that
would bring the masses out to see them live in a stadium-sized arena. The group was
only five dates into the tour when they arrived in Houston, but they were definitely
ready to take it to the stage for an out-of-this-world show like no other.
Taped on October 31, 1976, these seldom-seen performances at the Houston Summit
represent Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic in their ʼ70s prime, in the era of their
Mothership Connection and The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein LPs—a rare opportunity
for everyone to get their proper dose of The P-Funk.
