Within a 5-minute walk of the train station and lively city center, Central Backpackers has hostel accommodations with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour access and a convenient location. The hostel has its own bar and rooftop terrace, and offers luggage storage and laundry services.
There are mixed and female dormitories with shared bathroom facilities, with towels and bed linens provided. All dorms have lockers and a secure swipe-card entry system. There is also a lounge area with TV and DVD player.
A light breakfast is provided at Central Backpackers, served from 7:30 am until 10 am and including cereal, toast, tea, coffee and juice. There is a dining room with vending machines filled with drinks and snacks, and free tea and coffee in the kitchen. The rooftop terrace also has a barbecue.
Run by experienced backpackers, the hostel is within walking distance of Oxford’s many restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as iconic landmarks including the Bodleian Library and Oxford Castle. The New Theatre and Odeon Cinema on vibrant George Street are around 4 minutes away.

My photos taken during this year's demolition of the Manchester Odeon (formally the Paramount Theatre, Oxford Street). Sad to see it go and for anyone with fond memories of the place will remember it in its finest days.
