Cabaret at the Ogunquit Playhouse
Decadent nightlife meets dangerous times at Berlin’s alluring Kit Kat Klub in the iconic Broadway musical Cabaret. The Ogunquit production is based on the searing Sam Mendez musical recently revived on Broadway and is set in the cabaret underworld on the eve of Hitler’s rise to power. This unforgettable musical tells the story of Cliff Bradshaw, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, who falls in love with cabaret singer Sally Bowles. Their romance sizzles amid the back room culture of the cabaret and the tumultuous atmosphere of pre-Nazi Germany. Cabaret is a raw and powerful jazz musical that explores the dark life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. The show has had numerous Broadway and London revivals and is the winner of multiple Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score for Kander and Ebb’s compelling musical numbers which include, “Willkommen,” “Money,” “Tomorrow Belongs To Me,” “Maybe This Time” and “Cabaret.” Come to the Cabaret, your table’s waiting!

Wells/Ogunquit Community Store Assessment Project.mpg
Four students from Wells High School conducted store assessments at 11 convenience stores in the Wells/Ogunquit area. Students checked to see how tobacco products are marketed towards youth and if these legal products promote marijuana use among young people. Flavored cigar wraps, flavored cigars, and rolling papers are examples of products that may promote marijuana use and at least one of these products is sold at each store assessed. None of the stores sold flavored cigarettes or had self-service tobacco displays, both of which are illegal in maine.

The Big Maine Event 2014
Come support the Portland Players Theater in it's 3rd annual summer fundraiser, The Big Maine Event!, made possible by Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Marietta French. This year promises to be even BIGGER and BETTER, featuring phenomenal talent from near and far, including:
-Original Broadway Cast members of the Tony Award winning musical, Billy Elliot the Musical.
-Original Scenes/Skits written and directed by director/screenwriter Anthony Giunta.
-Local Maine singers/dancers/musicians.
Structured as a revue/cabaret event, the show is a mix of solo acts, ensemble numbers, skits/scenes, and some witty dialogue in between to meld it all together! There will also be a dinner break halfway through the show with food provided.
This is a fundraiser for the Portland Players Theater, and all proceeds support the cause for keeping community theatre alive and thriving in the Southern Maine area. There is a $20 suggested donation, but there will be more opportunities to donate by the end of the night.

Walking along ogunquit beach in Maine
When I was up in Massachusettes visiting my brother we decided to go to maine and suprise my dad. Then we walked along a trail near Marginal beach.
