Places to Go: The Togetsukyō Bridge
A classic symbol of the Arashiyama area, the Togetsukyō Bridge is often the first sight that visitors head to see when they arrive. Spanning the Katsura River (also called the Oi River or Hozu River depending on the area) the bridge offers a splendid view up and down the river which varies dramatically from season to season. With Mt. Arashi serving as a backdrop, visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms, vibrant summer greens, and colorful autumn leaves on the mountain slope. On the Oi River side you can watch people in small rental boats paddle about, or take part yourself. The Togetsukyō (Moon Crossing Bridge) takes its name from the romantic notions of Emperor Kameyama in the 14th century, who noted that throughout the night it seemed like the moon was making its way across the bridge.

(秘境)奥大井湖上駅・(Unexplored) Oku-oi Lake Station

From the end point Chisou station of the Oigawa main line of Shizuoka prefecture Oigawa Railway
Oigawa Railway Ikawa line has been extended.
I slowly run like sewing mountains along the flow of the Oi River.
One third of all lines are occupied by tunnels and bridges,
Also, while the cars are very curved, the wheels are constantly squeaking.
To travel in mountainous areas on the route with only Apt formula in Japan
There are very few private houses along the railway line, and since most of the users have many tourists,
Half of the stations are so-called mysterious stations.
Main line, the Igawa line is retro (locomotive Thomas, James)
Many trains and many railway fans visit.

Horai Bridge (蓬莱橋)
Robert, a Frenchman who has lived in Japan for 39 years, recommends this famous place in Shizuoka. It holds the Guinness World Record for the longest wooden pedestrian bridge in the world. It spans for 897 meters over the Oi River! We lost him from our vantage at the foot of the bridge!
Train Cruise Episode 12
A Taste of Japanese Culture along the Oigawa River
The Oi River (Oigawa) flows through the center of Shizuoka Prefecture starting from the Southern Alps. The Oigawa Railways run a distance of 65 km along the river. They feature a nostalgic steam locomotive and a tram which climbs a steep hill. This route draws the attention of railway enthusiasts as a functioning railway theme park. Along the route, we encounter thriving traditional Japanese culture and view beautiful forest scenery from the windows of retro rail cars. Our traveler this time is Francesco Bellissimo, a food researcher from Italy. He journeys along the Oigawa Railways to discover unseen parts of Japan.
Yume no Tsuribashi in Shizuoka Prefecture(静岡県の夢の吊り橋)
We visited the Yume no Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge in Shizuoka Prefecture. It was a pretty shaky but it provided a nice view over the Oi River.

Skipping across the world's longest wooden footbridge 世界最長の木造歩道橋を渡っスキップ
This bridge crosses the Oi river (Oigawa) in Shizuoka prefecture Japan. This bridge is listed in with the Guiness Book of World Records as the world's longest pedestrian bridge. The bridge is located near the site of the old porter station where travelers on the historic Tokaido highway would negotiate being carried across the river. Japan's Shogun (military rulers) forbid bridges over this river during the feudal period as a means of security due to the fact that the rivers dangerous waters made it difficult for rebellious armies to cross. The first bridge over the Oi river was built during the Meiji period (1868-1912) shortly after Japan opened its doors to the outside world.

Okuoikojo Station (Train Station over the Lake), Shizuoka
Fantastic Places in Cool Japan :
“Okuoikojo Station” (Train Station over the Lake) of Oigawa Railway, which runs in Shizuoka Prefecture, is a beautiful secluded station that seems to float on the lake. It is a very rare railway line that operates SL for more than 300 days a year. The train that runs through the mountainous area called the Apt type runs ahead of Senzu Station on the Oigawa Railway. “Okuoikojo Station”, which can only be reached by that train, is a very famous unexplored station that has been introduced on TV.
